Sunstar smiled softly, breathing in Creamflower's soft scent. He sat down beside her. "How has your morning been? he asked with interest. He hadn't seen her much and felt bad for a moment, he hoped that it didn't seem like he was avoiding her. He pushed the thought away, knowing that Creamflower wasn't like that.

Turtle looked up at the tom who addressed her. She could see that he was at least a moon or two younger than herself, but as always, he was a bit bigger than herself. When he mentioned the large group of cats, her ears perked up for a moment. "Large group of cats? No I am not from there. Some came through here?... I'm Turtle, in case you were wondering," she replied, her interest peaked but she didn't want to get her hopes up. Not yet. She wouldn't believe the silver cat until she saw them herself.

Rivermist ~ Location: forest ~ Tags: open ~

Rivermist walked quietly through the forest, the sun turning to liquid gold as it started to push through the trees. She could scent rain on the way, but it didn't seem as if it would be for a while yet. She didn't pay attention as she walked and simply let her paws carry her through the trees. She was too focused on trying to clear her mind from the nightmares again. If a mouse bit her she wouldn't have even paused. Her tail flicking steadily, she continued on.

Creamflower smiles and nuzzles Sunstar, twining her tail with his. "Im doing good." she said, breathing in his sweet scent. "How about yourself?"

Flicking her tail as she listened to the tom talk before nodding, "We'll head off that way and stay in the area until you two get there." She told him knowing that if they went to far it would be hard for him to find them once he got his apprentice. With the way he bound off though she wasn't sure he caught what she'd said and just shook her head before turning back to Cloudpaw. "No use waiting around who knows how long it will take him to get Creekpaw up and moving." Gingertree tells her with a smile before heading out of the camp ear perked forward to listen to the sounds of the forest as they move through it.

With his tail still flicking with nerves Silver moved out into the open where the she-cat, no Turtle was, her smaller body seeming to be much more relaxed then his own. When she replied he wasn't sure if he was disappointed or not that she wasn't apart of the group, because while he had worked to avoid them he was still curious about them. "Yes a while back they did, I'm Silver." He told her carefully before relaxing a bit more, his muscle no longer tense for a fight.

Cloudpaw ; Location - camp ; Tags - Gingertree, Thrushfoot
"Yes! Thanks Gingerstripe!" Cloudpaw purred happily before bounding towards the camp's entrance, waiting momentarily for her mentor to catch up before they both headed out. As soon as they were outside, Cloudpaw began to walk with complete silence. Her nose was pointed to the sky as her ears swiveled about, searching for any sign of prey. Her mouth was slightly open to better pick up a scent.

"I am well," he responded. "No longer having a deputy can be fairly taxing. But we can't consult StarClan on what we should do without a meeting place. Nightecho and I have searched everywhere except the burnt trees, but I would prefer if no cat went in there. Not after what happened..." His voice trailed off, getting lost in thought. He kept his voice low so others couldn't overhear.

Turtle could see him relax, and she sat down, even though ash got all over her fur. "It is a pleasure to meet you Silver," she mewed politely. "Do you have any idea where these cats live?" She asked the question in a nonchalant manner, but inside, hope was growing by the second.

Creamflower nods in agreement, knowing how stressed out Sunstar is. "I understand completely." she said softly, putting her nose in his ear. "You will pick a fine deputy by moonhigh." She makes sure her voice is quiet enough where no one can eavesdrop.

Gingertree only shook her head as she followed behind her eager apprentice as they head off into the forest, away from the sides of the waking camp and into the near quiet that the forest radiates that morning. She can smell the rain in the distance now, moisture hanging in the air and a quick look around confirms the clouds that she can see through the trees. It doesn't seem as if the skies will open up soon, but she'd rather be back at camp before it happens and makes a note to keep watch on the shy. She then turns back to watch Cloudpaw, smiling as how much the she-cat has grown and has learned the best way for her to hunt, honestly it won't be too much longer because she thinks Sunstar will name her a warrior.

Silver watches carefully as Turtle sits down because while he has relaxed some he has not relaxed completely just enough to where he doesn't think the she-cat is going to attack outright. He perks up a bit at her questions, wonders why she's asking about the group but figures the information is nothing to him. "Past the burnt land, they seem to avoid it, but I've seen groups of them deeper in the forest that way, although I don't really know how far or where they all are. I only catch scents of small groups or hear them, I don't tend to stick around when they get close by." He tells her simply, wondering if she has something to do with the group.

The white shecat moved swiftly but quietly as she caught the scent of a shrew. Her tail twitched as she forced it not to lash out excitedly. Despite the smell of rain that hung in the air Cloudpaw could smell almost everything around her, making a mental map of the forest and trees as she slithered about the undergrowth. Eventually she caught sight of the blur that was her prey. Cloudpaw crouched down, ears moving about to get the exact location of the shrew. And then with amazing speed, Cloudpaw pounced on the shrew killing it swiftly before holding it up for her mentor to see.

Nightecho now had a small pile of herbs stacked on a broad leaf. He sighed, his fur covered in plant life. As he looked over his new herbs he went over the list in his head of what else he needed."Hmm, Parsley would be good for Lilydawn now that Frostkit is eating meat..." he said aloud before picking up his herbs in their basket of a leaf. Night echo then began his search for parsley.

Sunstar sighed deeply, trying to calm down, but with the deadline he needed a sign and fast. (sorry for short reply on him)

Turtle nodded and stood again. "Thank you. I have been looking for them for quite some time now. I owe a debt to one of them and they left before I could repay it," she explained. She started walking towards the greener areas, no longer caring about the pain in her leg or the soot in her fur. Without asking Silver to follow or not, she continued her search. The weary little cat finally had a lead that was more than scraps of mousemeat. She started to quicken her limping pace once she reached scent markers.

Gingertree kept quiet as she watched her apprentice, careful where she walked to no make any noise and scare the prey away or distract her apprentice from the hunt. She stopped once it seemed the young she-cat caught the scent of something, watching as she carefully pinpointed the prey for catching it in one swift motion. "Good job, you are getting better at trusting yourself," Gingertree told her before her head turned to a sound off to her right, a mouse running off at the sound of their voice. Because of the distance, Gingertree was just able to twist and snatch the creature, almost missing the animal before killing it quickly. "If I remember right there's a small hollow in a tree right around here we should be able to put them in until we are done and head back to the camp." She tells her before glancing around to try and figure out which tree held the hollow.

Silver perked and nodded after hearing the she-cat talk wondering what kind of debt she could have to one of the cats in the group if she didn't belong to them or he guessed she didn't anyway. The tempt to follow her was rather strong and for a moment he did begin after her if only because he was curious about the group before stopping just inside the scent markers. Maybe one day he will meet the group and learn more about them, but for now, he decides to stay, watching as the she-cat heads off hopefully finding the cats in her path.
