She smiled at the apprentice. "well, thank you," she purred. "Hmm..." she sniffed the air thoughtfully. "Come on, marigold this way," she said, turning off the path to a clearing with clumps of marigold. "I don't know, but," she continued cautiously, "Cursedpaw... do you... actually like him? I mean, I've just been noticing, he seems to get... angry at you a lot."

Duststep woke up with a jolt at the cries of "there's a meadowclan cat in our camp!", nearly panicking until she realized she was the meadowclan cat, and that it was merely a kit's game. "Yes, and I will run away and cower at the feet of these two brave WolfClan warriors," she joked.

the young she-cat caught icepool's scent and followed it, keeping her injured paw above the ground. "Icepool?" she called cautiously, not wanting to attract unwanted attention. pushing the bushes apart, she found Icepool with Luckypaw in a clearing. "Um, Icepool? I... cut my paw, I was just..."

He yawned and padded out of the warrior's den, glancing over to the fresh-kill pile first and seeing that there were a few bits of prey on it, he picked up a shrew and started eating it.

She slept contentedly in the nursery, her tail wrapped around her three kits, SnowKit, BreezeKit, and Lionkit. "She yawned and stretched. "Good morning kits." She purred affectionately, licking each one gently. "Just fine. These three fuzzballs woke me up early!" She remarked, before letting out a small mreow of amusement at LionKit's remark. "That would be greta, thank you WolfStar." She meowed gratefully. "Thank you." She purred, taking a large bite as the two kits tumbled down the small hill leading out of the nursery. She looked at them with amusement as they played a game with DustStep. "Good morning WolfFoot, how are you faring?" She greeted, padding over to the warrior.

LionKit mewled, and pawed at her, saying "Can we explore today?" He looked up at the leader, a fire burning in his eyes, and he whispered to his sister, Snowkit, "One day I'll be as good as her. I'll be the best leader WolfClan has ever seen!" He mewed triumphantly. He jumped on top of her. "So now you have to obey my every word!" He giggled. The two tussled, and rolled out of the den, stopping right in front of the warriors den. "Oh no! There's a MeadowClan cat in our territory!" He leapt on top of DustStep, batting at her ears. "That'll teach you to sleep in our territory!" He mewed triumphantly. "Come on SnowKit, help me!" He giggled hoping it didn't annoy DustStep with the game they were playing. "Then come on!" He called to his sister.

silvershade stalks back into the clearing, holding a big rabbit in her jaws. she drops it on the fresh-kill pile, and trots over to the medicine cat's den where she laid down the herbs she had collected for icepool. marigold and mint. silvershade hadn't been able to find bindweed. she shakes her shimmering silver fur, spinning around. she stops, blinking her eyes. she quickly spots two kits rolling around at the front of the warriors' den, and she decides to go over to investigate. her haunches rocked from side to side as she approached, and stopped. "what's going on?" she raises an eyebrow, testing the kits.

Foxclaw sat near the entrance to the camp, his greenish-yellow gaze scanning the camp. He waited there until he would be needed, and he figured that he would be eventually. He slowly curled his thick, russet tail around his paws and watched the other cats go about their business.
