Diligence and perseverance. If there had been anything to take from Oakleaf’s tutoring it had been this innocuous edict into Clan life. From the mightiest Leader to the most feeble of kits, they were nothing but seeds in the wind without a sense of purpose under their paws and a stout heart. Cherrynose, despite his doubts on the general intelligence of some cats, could say with certainty that EagleClan was much better off than their rivals WolfClan and MeadowClan. For starters, where clans could usually only spare a single cat to learn the language of herbs and remedies, EagleClan had Berryfall and himself at the helm. More so him than Berryfall if he had to say so himself but…
He smiled humorlessly as he stepped over the barrier dividing camp from forest, jostling the parcels of ragwort and raspberry leaves. The elders were up in arms about their physical pains – irritable lot that they were. Normally he’d have shouted down a few of the other apprentices to fetch him what they needed but getting away from the camp was too enticing for him to spare the extra air needed to flag down one of those bumbling would-be-warriors. They’d probably crush them with all their nattering, too. he thought primly, spying Berryfall tucking into her breakfast with Goldclaw at her side. Hmph, if she had time to chatter she had time to reorganize their stock! The spotted tom sent an unkind look toward the shecat but didn’t interrupt her conversational exploits, flicking his tail to dismiss the thought of her as he headed for the Medicine Cat’s hollow where Goldenstar’s body was of immediate interest. “Bothering my apprentice, Goldenstar?” Cherrynose mumbled, bunting his shoulder against the tom as she squeezed past.

Howlfur-
The tom almost glared in annoyance at Acornpaw before shifting around and padding to the Medicine Den, his wounds now bleeding freely. How dare that apprentice ignore him?! He'd would have a word with the Medicine Cats later about that. Apprentice or not, she should've attended to him first. He walked into the den and sat down, lapping at the blood on his legs. The scar across his face too was far more noticeable than the ones on his legs though. Impatiently, he grunted out, "When your done with Goldclaw, could you help me out, Berryfall?" He would glance over towards the freshkill pile every now and then. He didn't trust it anymore, only because the leader possibly wheezed on some of the prey. He'd probably go and hunt for himself soon. He... Also didn't notice Cherrynose was nearby when he gave the apprentice a glare, but... Hey, foul mornings equal up to a foul and irritated day. Plus he was obviously bleeding, he believed bleeding cats should be treated first.

"Ok. Follow me to the medicine hollow." She quickly padded over to the hollow. On the way, she saw Cherrynose and Acornpaw. Herb scents flooded over her, and she sighed. She pulled downs some dock from behind the ivy leaves that grew over the holes in wall where the herbs were stored. She reach up, putting her paws on the wall and grasped a few leaves of margigold, then dropped down and pulled out some coltsfoot. She turned when Howlfur spoke to her. "Oh my. What happened?" She looked him over and the pulled several cobwebs from the store. She hoped up and grabbed down some more marigold.

Howlfur-
He watched her, his tongue brushing against the blood that slowly started to run down his face. He had a quick thought process, he was instantly meowed out, "Meadowclan cat were on the borders last night... Got into a pretty big fight." He flicked back his ears, his yellow eyes almost filling with warmth, but they instantly became cold once more. "The three clans are supposed to support each other, we aren't supposed to be rivals, y'know? Medicine Cats come here for help later on in the day each time." He licked his nose again, then his leg. The more he talked, the more everything hurt. "Oh yeah. I did say last night right? I'm not sure if my wounds could be infected or not."

Nightstrike-

Nightstrike had finally decided to come out of his den. Stretching out he notices his apprentice and sighs. He soon pads over to the young cat. "Have you eaten?"


Acornpaw-

The young Tabby jumps a little at Cherrynose's voice. "Oh... I was just going to look at him to see if he had white cough" she mews. She didn't want to mention the fact of how she didn't notice the one warrior. She still felt guilty about that.

The tom’s attention diverted quickly. Looking like he’d found himself on the wrong end of a badger (not to say there was a right end), was Howlfur, scowling like the world was ending. Well, his world could well and truly end if he wasn’t treated. The spotted cat’s eyes narrowed harshly, sparking an admonishing look between the injured and his apprentice. Howlfur merely ignored Cherrynose’s presence entirely, bypassing him for Berryfall. Let the idiot bleed. When he’s lightheaded he’ll be easier to manage, he thought tersely as he ducked into the hollow. To his mounting annoyance the den was an absolute sty. He assumed the disarray was Acornpaw’s attempt at taking stock but the ensuing mess it caused made his whiskers bristle. Oakleaf would have tanned her hide if he’d seen this chaos, nevermind that she was having herself a merry chat while someone bled out not far from her very nose! “Do you have dung in your nose, girl!” Swatting at Acornpaw as Berryfall and Howlfur returned. “A Warrior is bleeding not even a tail length away and you’re chitchatting! If Goldenstar has a cough I'm sure he'll survive. Howlfur unfortunately doesn't have the added benefit of a spare life to fall back on.” Stiffly he shuffled items aside so as not to be stepped on and dragged one of the raspberry leaves he’d returned with closer to Howlfur with a disdainful sniff.
“Don’t bore us with your misplaced sense of camaraderie. The Clans are allies out of necessity; we will always be competitors for resources first and foremost. Chew this since your mouth’s free.” Cherrynose briefly regarded Berryfall as she did her part, nodding in brisk approval.

She chewed the marigold, waiting for the pulp to be just right. She said through the pulp, "This might sting." Then spit the pulp on the wound on his face. She chewed more marigold, then spit it on the wounds on his legs. Her mouth hurt from chewing the marigold,
but she grasped cobwebs, began to wrap them steadily around on the wounds on his leg. "That's strange. Meadowclan is so peaceful. Wolfclan maybe, but Meadowclan? Next time I see Lilytail or Sagewhisker, I'll talk with them about that." She moved onto a another wound. She suddenly noticed Cherrynose, who was bantered and batting at Acornpaw.

Howlfur-
The Warrior didn't utter a sound when the chewed marigold was applied to his wounds, but he did give Cherrynose a look. "Hm." Was all he grunted out towards the tom. Seems like a cat who could match his temper when needed. He'd tell Berryfall the truth when she was more free. Or... Would he just lie even more to her? A small 'hmpf' of amusement escaped him, then he started to chew whatever Cherrynose gave him, his foul mood seemingly vanishing the more he got treated. He abruptly felt his side wet, and glanced towards it. "Oh, mousedung. I forgot she got my side..." He grumbled aloud, not caring if the others heard. Whenever Berryfall got done, he finished chewing the Raspberry leaf, and grunted out, "Now I wonder, why couldn't you become a Warrior? You definitely have the temper to do so." Now, surprisingly, Howlfur didn't seem disrespectful to Cherrynose. Instead, his voice was filled with wonder, but a small edge in his voice was still cold, like his eyes, but he couldn't help that.

Acornpaw-

Acornpaw gives a small 'eep' before uttering several apologizes. She hated getting something wrong and didn't help when Cherrynose was grumpy sometimes.

She looked quizzically at Howlfur, but decided it best not to question him. She looked him over again. She placed a few extra, and new, cobwebs on places but otherwise, he looked fine. She turned her attention over to Acornpaw, only for a split second before flicking her eyes back to Howlfur. "Come back tommorrow, or when they start to get soaked, for new cobwebs. I'll give you some painkiller if the pain is too much."
