"Oh yes, prey is running fine. I hope to send out a hunting patrol later today, and i'll bring you back the plumpest piece of prey I can find, Robinleaf." Doestar smiled, showing her yellowish teeth. Doestar padded back into her den and curled her long, fluffy tail (which was as thick as a fox's) around her paws. She let out a sigh and settled into her nest. Doestar hung her paws over her nest, and sighed again. Her light-green eyes started at the wall, unmoving, not even blinking. Would she ever sleep in peace again, knowing that her father attacked her mother? That question haunted her every day and every night. It followed her around like a dark cloud. She couldn't escape nor deny the terrible deed her father did. Even though her mother never liked her, was it necessary to KILL her? Doestar was trembling. A tear rolled off of her cheek. Finally, she blinked. Everything she loved, she lost. Oaknose, her mentor. Quailfur, her father. Splatter, her mother. Jeff, her brother. She snarled in disgust at the thought of Jeff. "Kittypet! He chose the life of a kittypet. Why do I even feel bad for him?"She snarled, but she couldn't deny that she still missed him. She had lost everything but her clan. Even her kits. Her poor, tiny, innocent kits. Her mate too. Her mate was Maplenose, and her kits were Willowkit, Chivekit, and Sneezekit. They all left her. She had nothing, and no one. Her head started to ache because of how fast her mind was racing. "I miss you Willowkit... And Chivekit... And Sneezekit..." She whispered softly. She then drifted into sleep.
