The light brown tomcat's ears twitched at the sound of his leader calling a meeting, he hesitated a bit but soon got himself awake enough to leave the den and sit beneath the high ledge. His tail now wrapped neatly around his paws as he waited for his fellow clanmates to gather before the meeting could begin.

Sagepaw somewhat found himself awake pretty quickly for some odd reason that he didn't question, then as the young black tom exited the den he saw his adopted big brother already sitting at the foot of the ledge and looking up at their leader. With a happy flick of his tail he made a bounding leap over to him and slid on the ground next to him, playfully sticking his tongue out at him before looking up at Lightningstar with a grin on the young tomcat's face.

The she-cat was always a heavy sleeper even their leader called at the top of his voice, so Snailpath was unaware of the meeting and remained curled up in her nest. Dreaming something about battling a dog and beating it quickly and fiercely

Realizing that he probably had all the cats that were going to be here, and spotting the cat he needed, Lightningstar began to speak. "The time has come for me to name the new deputy." Lightningstar looked down at the gathered cats, and said "Leaftail. Leaftail will be the new deputy of Lightningclan"

The sound of cats moving around her woke Cedarfall up. She sat up and blinked, taking a moment to realize that Lightningstar must've called a meeting. Getting to her feet, she stretched and made her way outside in time to hear the news.

He scooted away just as he felt another cat bump into him although as soon as he noticed who it was he smiled and sat back over next to his adopted brother with their pelts brushing slightly. Then his attention fixated on Lightningstar as he was about to speak the nearly jumped up when he announced him as deputy, he was happy and excited and looked over to see the excitement sparkle in Sagepaw's eyes. The light brown tabby then grinned and stood up, hopping up next to Lightningstar with his chest puffed out proudly. He was personally surprised that he would pick a former loner to be the deputy but he wasn't going to argue.

When the young tomcat heard his older brother's name being called he looked over at him, his yellow eyes wide with excitement as he began to loudly call his name while watching him climb the pile. His brother was Deputy! This was awesome! Sagepaw thought to himself as he stood up and waved his tail high in the air watching as Leaftail sat next to their leader

Lightningstar nodded to the tom-cat and smiled, before turning back to the clan "That is all" he turned to Leaftail and said "I'll leave you to get patrol's set, make sure to warn them to keep an eye out on the Flameclan border, they've been keeping low, like a quiet before the storm. I don't want Lightningclan to be invaded just because we got relaxed"
