Tigerfoot glanced over as the medicine cat approached him. Grinning, the deputy nodded. "Of course, I'd be glad to help out! Just let me know when you're ready to leave and I'll come with you both." The tom cat swished his tail, offering the shy meddy-cat a friendly smile. [short]

Adderfur glanced upwards as the leader called out for a hunting patrol. Smirking, he glanced at Tigerfoot, as if saying 'I can get away with not going.' Walking towards the entrance of camp, he lightly bumped into Mistpetal, who seemed to be wandering around. "Sorry," the scrawny cat mumbled to the pretty-looking feline, and didn't bother to say anything else as he walked out of camp. Walking around on the damp forest floor, he sighed softly. This was where he belonged. In his element; plenty of space to train and hunt.

Adderfur began a quick sprint, warming up his muscles for what would be a long day of training.

Lightpaw, spotting her mentor, Wolfheart, trotted up to them. Happening to overhear their conversation, she kneaded the ground nervously. "U-um.. Wolfheart, could I maybe. Uh.. Could I maybe come too?" She asked in a soft voice, unable to contain her stuttering every now and then. She'd never really warmed up to Wolfheart, so speaking with her mentor was.. Kind of awkward for her. Plus, he looked like he was more fit for fighting, rather than her own skill, which was hunting.

He laughed nervously. "Okay, so... Let's go and ask Tigerfoot?" His paws were itching to run away and start hunting now- but he knew that that would be rude, so he waited for her reply before moving. He heard a soft voice and turned to see his apprentice, Lightpaw. "Oh..." He was hoping to go alone with Whistlesong for once. "Umm, sure you can come." He smiled slightly, but inside his head he was slapping himself.

"Hm." Smallpaw is a bundle of energy who just wants to prove that she can be a great warrior too. For some reason, she is a little apart from many of the other apprentices and is often left out, and yet this doesn't seem to affect her cheerful optimism. She admires the Elders and their stories greatly, and she is also in awe of the Medicine cats because of their extensive knowledge. For her, everything new is exciting, and anything exciting is new!

"I was born prema... Preda... Prematurely? I think that's the word. It's why I'm so small, apparently, and it might be why the rest of my siblings all passed soon after we were born. I was born to a loner, actually, and she left me behind when I was born, probably because I was so little and I must have seemed to weak. Some clan cats picked me up while on patrol and brought me back, gave me my name because of my size and now I'm an apprentice!"

"Oh, it's fine, I-" Mistpetal cut herself off from her apology when she realised that Adderfur had disappeared into the foliage. Not letting it bother her too much despite her sensitivity, she continued to trot around, wondering if anyone needed any help.

"Get over this laziness, you... lazy cat." he mentally scowled and sighed, shaking his head to try and get rid of the sleepiness that decided to take over him. He stretched his paws some and got away from his nest, padding out of the den. The contact with the wet melting snow made him almost jump up, though at least he was waken up now. Reddish eyes scanned the camp for a second before he padded over to a sunny spot, grumbling something on an annoyed tune about the snow and then starting to give his pelt careful licks, soothing it down and get rid of knots and moss that had gotten stuck to it during his night asleep.

"Ah, thank you, Tigerfoot," Shyshadow mewed with an appreciative nod. He purred slightly. "I'll just go see how much we need."
He trotted back to the den, spotting the awake Deadpaw along the way. "Oh, Deadpaw, you're up! Tigerfoot is going to accompany us soon - we're going to fetch some more catmint," he purred, then going to the den. He began picking through the catmint they had to pick out the bad plants.

"I sure don't mind you tagging along, Lightpaw," she meowed warmly. "C'mon, Wolfheart, let's go ask!"
