Octivia was practicing battling against a wild Magikarp, her feebas very determined. Her feebas wasn't the best, being a feebas, but knowing a tm or two would hopefully do some good. She already knew Tackle and Hidden Power, and a splash Octivia says "doesn't count".

"Alright, use Tackle." She ordered her Feebas, who did as told, hitting the slightly dumbstruck Magikarp in the face. The Magikarp fainted on contact, which was slightly odd for even a magikarp.

Spring, a deerling, was wondering a meadow, looking for something to eat.

Professor Bianca was still pacing around her Lab, reading her book.
