She lifted her head. "Firepaw, what do you smell?" she asked her apprentice.

Brackenstorm
He caught scent of a mouse. He crawled towards it and leapt, capturing it in his paws. He but its neck, finishing it off quickly.

The warrior turned back and glanced around for the other two. She spotted Brackenstorm a bit away, his tabby pelt just visible between some ferns, and then Foxpaw back towards the mice nest--which was now deserted. Flicking her tail, Creeksight padded towards her apprentice. "Decent." she rumbled, twitching an ear. "Shall we move on?" she queried, casting her deep ocean gaze towards the other warrior and raising her voice a little so he could hear.

Foxpaw twitched, pleased. Decent was better than terrible at least. She would get better at this. And someday she was sure she'd be the best hunter ever!

Firepaw lifted her chin, tasting the air. "Urrh.. A few things.." She sniffed the ground. "A rabbit passed through here earlier today." She stood up straight again. "No strangers have been in our territory here... I think." She looked at Hazelpool dubiously. "Am I correct?"

"Try listening around also, listen for signs other than your clan mates paw steps." she suggested.

Creeksight snorted softly and shook her head ever so slightly, turning her gaze away. "Keep moving, I guess." she muttered, striding forwards past a thick patch of thornbushes. The she-cat lifted her head and drew in the scents as she walked. After a couple of moments she paused and switched her gaze over to Foxpaw. "Tell me what you can scent." she quizzed abruptly, blinking down at the younger she-cat. Then she lifted her head and swung it to face the other warrior. "Brackenstorm, go ahead and hunt, I'm going to work with Foxpaw."

Brackenstorm
He nods briefly, and goes and starts to hunt by himself. He caught scent of a bird. He stalked it, and pounced, catching it in his paws. Hg cracked its neck, and finished it.
