Featherstone padded towards his leader, dipping his head respectfully.
"Shinestar, would you care to go hunting with me?" He blinked his round, frosted blue eyes at her, standing straight. His gaze flicked to Rabbitfur as the warrior shook the water from his chin. "And Rabbitfur as well?" he added, so as not to make Shinestar feel on the spot.

"Of course," she mewed, standing and stretching.

Featherstone perked slightly before he nodded and turned towards camp, signalling Rabbitfur to follow them with his tail. He was pleased with her answer, but he didn't want to make a big deal out of it.

The black and white warrior pushed himself to his paws and trotted after the two higher-ranking cats. The fur along his spine twitched as he looked between the two.
"So, where are we off to? A hunting patrol?"

"Yes," Featherstone answered. "Try to keep the sand out of your eyes this time."

Shinestar purred with amusement. "How much do you think you will catch?" she asked Rabbitfur.

[Nebelung]

"As much as I can," he answered, looking ahead at her. "I'll bring back something, or I won't come back until I do."

Featherstone shook his head, looking back at the warrior.
"That's a good answer." Once outside of camp, the deputy parted his jaws to pick up a scent.

She jumped off the rock to go stretch her legs. She turned back to her littermates for a second. "I'm just going for a quick walk." she said.

Silentvoice looked up from his nest in the elder's den as he watched the camp come to life. Ears flicking, he rested his head on his paws and averted his gaze. He wished he could join. But he couldn't.
