Brambleflame, Breezewater, and Sunface were all fast asleep in the warriors' den. Breezewater was the only one of the three to sleep dreamlessly.

Pikefur sat in the camp clearing, his claws unsheathing and sheathing repeatedly. The brown tabby tried to steady his breathing but if you looked closely you could see his sides heaving for breath. Pikefur had woken up from a disturbing sleep a few heartbeats ago, the tom dreamed he was falling into a black abyss of nothing and was about to witness black jaws ready to snap him up like a piece of fresh-kill until he shot out of his nest. He snarled, a dream - or nightmare - shouldn't rile him up like this? Why should he worry so much? Pikefur sighed, blinking softly. 'Concentrate on other things, Pikefur, doesn't it look lovely out here?' He thought, well at least the most of terror was drifting off by now.; he wouldn't dare try sleeping until much later on however.

Breezewater's eyes flickered open just in time to see the fluffy brown tip of Pikefur's tail disappear from the warriors' den. He stood up, yawning, and followed the tom outside. "Pikefur? Are you alright?" he asked.

Brambleflame tossed and turned wildly. He was dreaming of fighting in a battle against both AshClan and SecretClan. He lashed out with his claws at a SecretClan warrior, then bit down on the leg of an AshClan apprentice. Blood was spattered everywhere, but Brambleflame didn't even seem to notice. He placed his paw atop a pile of unconscious AshClan and SecretClan cats and yowled triumphantly.

Sunface purred quietly as she dreamed of fishing by the stream. The fish's silvery-gray scales glimmered brilliantly in the bright, morning sunshine, as did the clear, sparkling stream. She breathed in the fresh forest air, then breathed out again with a relaxed sigh.
