"I don't know..." Duskcloud replied uncertainly. "What if it was just passing through? It does smell kind of stale, and if that's the case, then it would be a waste of time to chase it down." He then turned to Pepperclaw and greeted her with a flick of his ears. "That's all right, Pepperclaw. We've only just left the camp, and we can already smell fox...Do you think we should go after it too?"

[Eurydice]

Pepperclaw thought for a second " MAybe considering its kinda close to camp. I don't want camp to be invaded" she replied she sniffed the air " The fox is still in our territory. If we could chase it to the border.."

[Cradily]

"Well...if you're sure." Duskcloud still sounded uncertain, but he knew he shouldn't argue with the deputy of the clan. He sniffed the air, trying to figure out what direction the fox had taken. "Which way should we go?" he asked both of Razorclaw and Pepperclaw.

[Eurydice]

She sniffed the air again " Over near the river ( near oakclan border) This may be easier then expected!" she mewed " We can just chase it over the border , let oakclan deal with it"

[Cradily]

Duskcloud nodded and began running towards the OakClan border, still scenting the air with his tongue, trying to make out how far away the fox might be.

[Eurydice]

Pepperclaw followed.

[Cradily]

"Do you see it anywhere?" Duskcloud asked, looking around. He noticed a tuft of red fur snagged on the branch of a bush nearby and gave it a sniff, but it smelled to be at least a day or two old.

[Eurydice]

"maybe it left " pepperclaw whispered. Suddenly a flash of red went by in the distance. It was in the direction of camp! She turned " over here" SHe yowled

[Cradily]

Duskcloud raced after Pepperclaw and the fox, his heart racing fast. The last time he had encountered a fox, it had nearly sunk its teeth into his throat and would have killed him had it not been for a clanmate of his that saved his life. He could only hope that they would be luckier this time, and that the fox could be chased off without much trouble.

~ Razorclaw ~
Razorclaw raced after the fox. He clawed it's side. The fox snarled, facing Razorclaw. It swung a paw at Razorclaw. He ducked his head just in time. The fox clawed his side with it's other paw, making Razorclaw fall to the ground.
