Coldpaw slowly moved towards the mouth of the den, blinking his eyes to rid them of sleep. He then looked up at Reedfoot, but didn't interrupt their conversation, afraid of being rude.

Badgermask leapt onto his sister's back, pushing the short stocky she-cat to the floor with his heavier weight. "Say sorry!" he hissed at her as the she-cat lashed her tail and giggled "Okay, I'm sorry...Let me up."

Reedfoot~

He turned his head seeing his apprentice, Coldpaw, exit from the den. Using his tail he motioned for apprentice to come forward, meowing a good morning to the young cat. He watched him closely, observing him. Reedfoot always found the young tom a willing learner, and a good apprentice. His first of course but still, he was a pleasure to be around, which for him was an interesting fact, since the only cat he was close to was Viperstar. As he waited for him to come over he stood up stretching his legs once more.

Coldpaw broke into a smile, and padded over to his mentor with a seemingly happy skip in his step. "Good morning Reedfoot." he replied to the elder cat's greeting and found himself feeling rather special for earning such a kind salutation. He then flickered his ears for a moent "Is there something you wanted?"

[Karma.]

Viperstar returned Reedfoots gaze, then changed it over to Fishpaw's. "Good morning, Fishpaw. Did you sleep well? I need you to go get some herbs for Reedfoot, please. Take Talonpaw and Lionpaw. Ask Reedfoot what he needs."

"Yes, Viperstar." Fishpaw said, heading off to find the other apprentices.

Viperstar's piercing blue eyes flicked to the fresh kill pile, which was almost empty. He'd have to send someone out later. His thoughts were distracted by the slightest rustle in a bush about 20 feet away from him. Instantly his guard went up and he leapt off the high rock to investigate... He lifted his nose and sniffed the air, but the wind was blowing in the opposite direction. Slowly taking another step forward, he lifted the front of the bush up to reveal.. a badger! Instantly he howled a cry of warning, which led to all the cats to instantly snap out of whatever they were doing and look - and face- the opposing danger.

Reedfoot~

He turned his head to watch Viperstar and his sudden change of behavior. As he heard the sudden yowl he hissed, jumping up next to his leader. His short fur stood on ends straight down his spine, hissing as his tail lashed about. Thou he could not fight, he could at least help and try to protect his leader. His claws unsheathed a foreign feeling to him, causing a chill to go down to his lashing tail.

Dovepool~

She snapped up from her grooming and ran over to the scene. Her soft paws and long legs making the run short. Her green yellow eyes narrowed on the badger, she lowered herself close to the ground using her coat to blend into the semi dead grass and brush as she stalked from the side of the badger. She glanced at her leader waiting for a signal to attack or pursue the terrible creature away from the camp.

Badgermask and Mudsplash both scrambled up to their paws, all look of playand joy gone from their eyes to be replaced with focus and readiness to fight if they had to. Both siblings fluffed up their pelts to appear bigger and Mudsplash spied Coldpaw back up to the den a little, he had no experience in fighting, but she knew he would if He needed to, or she was about to be injured.

Reedfoot~
His ears laid flat against his head and he growled in his throat as he stared at the badger. “ Coldpaw.....i need you to prepare the herbs, anything we have left! Be sure to grab cob webs, dock, yarrow...and poppy seeds just in case! Im counting on you! “.

Coldpaw looked up at his mentor with a rather afraid sound before he nodded and retreated into the den quickly and began sorting herbs. He tried to stay calm or he'd risk messing it up and if someone was going to get seriously hurt, he couldn't afford to mess up. He prepared the cobwebs first, to step bleeding.

[Karma.]

Viperstar looked at his clan mates, and they all looked back at him with such faith. The badger was already snarling and making a lunge for Reedfoot. He leapt to try and intercept, but missed and landed awkwardly.

Reedfoot~
He yowled as the badger tackled him into the stone, feeling the fur being scraped off by the hard surface. He lashed out with his unsheathed claws, clawing at anything he could get from the badgers side as the badger started to claw at his flanks, sinking into his fur and flesh. He twisted around trying to wretch free, using his back paws n claws to push against the stone from underneath him.
