Talontip took a step forward and swiped at the badger with claws unsheathed. It snarled and attempted to hit Talontip again. He jumped back, growling and hissing at the badger. His ears pricked up and a new scent filled his nose.
Is that... Hawkstar!
Talontip glared at the badger as it tried to find the cats through bloody, temporarily blinded eyes. Good... Hawkstar's here... he can help!

"Talontip!" Hawkstar called. "Is everyone okay?" He unsheathed his claws and growled at the badger. Hawkstar went for the badger's back, making sure that he stayed clear of it's jaws.

"Yes, Hawkstar! We're alright! Skyfrost slashed the badger's eyes, so it might not be able to see very well anymore!" Talontip exclaimed. The badger snapped its jaws at his neck, and he jumped back. "Stay back you mouse-brained badger!" Talontip snarled. He leaped to the badger's side and slashed at it.

"Nice work!" Hawkstar said. He hissed at the badger and sunk his claws into it's back. It howled and took a step back. The badger tried to take a swipe at Hawkstar, it's large head turning from side to side.
"Stay away from my clan," Hawkstar growled.

Talontip raced to the front of the badger, and slashed it's chest.
Hah, right where it got me. That'll teach you to mess with Lightningclan!
Talontip backed up and watched. He had always admired Hawkstar, and now he was clinging onto a badger. He was so brave...
His thoughts were interrupted by the badger's snarling, and jumped to the side to escape a blow from the badger.

Rivermist shook her head after she had tripped after Talontip. She heard yelling and growls, something she didn't like. After she got rid of the shakyness, she followed Talontip's scent and found Skyfrost's and Hawkstar's scent also, along with a stink of badger. Terrified, but determined, she leaped out at the great white and black beast with her claws out. She landed on the back and clawed at it.

"Rivermist!" Talontip exclaimed out of surprise. "You're here!" He sounded rather happy.
He returned his focus to the badger. It seemed to almost be giving up. Fighting four cats at once, all warriors, would scare even Talontip. He growled at the badger, and then lunged foward and dug his claws into its side. It snarled at both Rivermist and Talontip, attempting to both get Rivermist off it's back and to get rid of Talontip.

"Now is not the time to celebrate!" Rivermist hissed, feeling rather angery. She had heard Skyfrost yowl and was wondering why didn't she move or run up a tree. Badgers couldn't climb and this could have been avoided. Now we're stuck with an angry badger and bunch of injured cats! Rivermist thought bitterly, bitting as hard as she could on the badger's ear, while holding onto the scruff.
