Candy stuck her snout towards the sky. She sniffed the air. "You can spend the night in one of the many dens for this night. But by tomarow head that way." She pointed her muzzle to the north.

"Thank you, you won't regret your decision." Jairo let out a sigh of relief. At last, things might be going their way. He glanced towards Emmie. "Could you stay with Aiden tonight, and I'll stay with Julie?" He didn't like the thought of leaving them alone out here in the wilderness. "Sure," she replied, a wide grin stretching across her muzzle.

Julie shifted around Jairo, a little bit more cautious than usual. This Liondragon must be tough to be able to fend for herself without being able to see. Better yet, to keep this entire territory isolated from other packs or hazards. Surely, Julie knew what it felt like to be groping around in the dark, blindly trying to defend any small morsel of comfort or peace you could still find in life, even desperately avoiding reality just for the hope of someday, someday, feeling safe again. Anything tied to that security was something worth fighting for.

Trying to keep any apprehension out of her voice while also trying not to seem like a threat, Julie asked, "Do you have a name? Have you always lived out here? It's not exactly a 5-star hotel, if you haven't noticed."

"My name is Candycorn. I have lived out here since I was born," Candycorn growled quickly. She turned tail and began walking back to her own den.

"Julie, manners. Come on, let's go lay down."

The group split into two parties, both founding comfortable places to sleep, each not far from the other. Julie disgruntledly used Jairo as a source of warmth while Aiden only used Emmie as a pillow, since he was already dressed more appropriately for the chill. Seeing as this would mark the end of their quest {they already pretty well knew the way to the village} and none of them had arrived thus far with any serious injuries, Jairo slept at peace with himself.
