Jaywing told Foxcloud what was going on, and she left Stormstar.

Foxcloud sobbed, holding the body of her deceased kit close.

"Someone should tell Stormstar his kit has died," Moonglow murmured, moving closer to comfort his sister.

Jaywing watched from afar. For him, it was like loosing Whiteleaf again.

TallStep continued at a trot and slowed at the entrance. Exhaling, he stepped in and sniffed for StormStar. He tracked the scent to the nursery, "StormStar, I wish to speak with you." He said as calmly as he could.

Softfeather quietly trotted behind her mate. The she-cat slowed to a stop outside the nursery and calmly waited though she braced herself for what was coming. She didn't expect it to be easy. Also, being in an unfamiliar camp made her wary and she pressed herself against Tallstep.

Hazelfur turned his head to look at Stormstar. The medicine cat's gaze remained calm, though he had noticed Foxcloud shrink back, and wasn't about to let his leader get out of control. "... Whitekit is with StarClan now." He replied softly. "She went peacefully, I assure you."
