Streakkit jumped up onto the roof of one of the nurseries, bored. She batted at a loose stem from the top, thinking about the slaves. Will the runaway slave ever come back? she wondered. Or not? I mean, surely the patrols will re-capture it again? She didn't know any of the specifics about the whole thing; she just knew that the warriors and other adult cats who weren't slaves called the runaway slave it and slave.

(1. The Segment Representatives are basically leaders, and nobody seemed to want to make 'em. 2. Because the Clans were still so small and devastated, they allowed loners and rogues to join. )

Darkriver watched Honeyfeather leave. There was no way of stopping her but he hoped she wasn't going back to Bloodclan. Darkriver padded up to Flowerpaw, " I hope she isn't going back to Bloodclan " He said with a frown planted on his face. " Anyways i don't see what's so bad about this place " he shrugged. " Also " He said to Flowerpaw " May i ask of your name ? " He turned to the black tom " And of yours too ? "

"My name Flowerpaw; this is Spirit Howl!" Flowerpaw informed him excitedly. Spirit Howl just glanced over Darkriver and greeted him with a curt nod.
"Hello," he meowed simply.
"He's just a grump sometimes," Flowerpaw explained. "Don't mind him!" She smiled; this was sure to be exciting! She watched, and waited, to see what Darkriver would do.

Darkriver chuckled and smiled. " And my name is Darkriver; It's very nice to meet you two " He said with a little bit of happyness in his voice. His smile then began to grow faint again. " It's nice and all to be away and finally free from Bloodclan, but alas i am not finished with them ". " You see i have a friend who tried to escape with me, but Bloodclan got ahold of her and took her back to Bloodclan " He sighed. " I promised myself i would go back for her but that only means i am putting both our lives on the line " .
