Aspenpaw rose to his hind legs, and pounced over his leader. However, instead of gracefully biting her leg like he should have, he accidentally found himself tumbling around the training arena, and landing in an awkward position. "Sorry," he blushed, embarrassed.

"It's fine, this is a hard move to master. It took me a while to learn it, but you did the first part right. Try again." Currentstar meowed, smiling. Maybe she would surprise him and try to move away. Good idea, teach him to be faster if he needs to.

"Alright!" he said, determined to do better in front of his mentor. He went back to where he started from, and began the move again. After pouncing, he looked down and saw motion beneath him. Is she moving or something? he wondered, and attempted to adjust his landing spot, aiming his mouth for her leg.
{I'm just curious, weren't there a lot of other active members? Where did they go...?}

Currentstar swerved out of the way from his attack. "You have to be faster." she purred. "Again. I know you can do it, even if you don't master it completely today."

"Alright!" he mewed cheerfully, attempting the attack over and over again. His mentors praise helped him, and he was glad to have been encouraged instead of scolded. "I'll be the best fighter in the Clan!" Aspenpaw vowed, continuing his practice.

Currentstar and Aspenpaw kept practicing the move, and eventually, Aspenpaw did it perfectly. "Well done Aspenpaw!" she praised. She loved his self-confidence and his hardworking mind. He will be a very good warrior someday, he will.

Aspenpaw rose his head in pride, beaming after finally getting the move correct. He was out of breath and a bit weary, but very eager and proud of himself. "Thank you Currentstar!" he said, dipping his head slightly in gratitude.

Currentstar purred and meowed, "How about we go back to camp and give you the biggest piece of prey in the pile? You can show your friends your move, too."

"Really?" he asked his mentor, wide-eyed. "Thank you so much!" Aspenpaw squealed with delight, and immediately started racing off towards camp. Suddenly, remembering he was supposed to walk with his leader, he skidded to a stop, turned around, and blushed.
