Ink froze as Apollo bit in to his stomach and stopped trying to get away. It was hopeless...If he tried to get away, then Apollo would rip his stomach open...He whined quietly as he tried to take the pain, but it was so hard now. I'm not going to die like this...NEVER! He suddenly forgot about his pain and jumped up in the air, forcing Apollo and Athena to let go. He jumped up to a tree, which seemed impossible with his little legs, but he did it. The pup's stomach had been ripped open, but he didn't seem to notice.

"RRRAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAARR! YOU LEAVE INK ALONE!!" Rai howled, eyes flashing red. He leaped to his feet and grabbed Athena by the neck. "Let go, or die," he snarled, pressing down so he equaled the pressure on Ink's neck. Chako had passed out on impact.

Ink looked down and saw Rai, not sure what to do. He was about to jump back down, but he suddenly fell backwards and passed out from blood loss...

Rai squeezed harder and harder until Athena had to drop Ink or suffocate. "RUN!!" Rai howled snatching Ink and jumping high into a tree.

Yuki ran after Rai, worried. "Get him out of here, quick!" She barked, then looked at Apollo and Athena. "I'll take care of these two..." Even though she was still young, she was ready to fight.

Rai nodded and jumped to the highest branch and began to leap from tree to tree. "heh!" rai snorted, carrying Ink gently.

Chako woke up and got to her feet. "N-no Yuki...I'll get him," she grunted.

"Chako...You can't, not in your condition!" Yuki growled, carefully pushing Chako away. "Let me deal with this!"

"No, your too young to die," She snarled through gritted teeth. The pain was intense, but it was nothing compared to the emotional pain she had gone through. Losing both the pups she loved. she'd get revenge for Teru and Fuji. She figured it out. Apollo had staged the attacks that cost the pups their lives.

Yuki shook her head. "And you're too important to die, Chako. If Ink came back, then I'm sure that Teru and Fuji will come back...The last thing they'd want to see is you dead!"

"But you are important too-" "I'm not." Lobo had left her pack to help. "I'll fight them. You, Rai and Yuki are too important. I am an outcast in my pack, so I should die."
