Guardians of Ga'Hoole: A New Era

Sapphire reached the tree and set her down, checking the small owl over before listening carefully for any sign of life. She looked to what appeared to be the owl's friend. "I'm sorry." She moved Emerald's right wing to show a deep gash. "She won't make it through the night."

[~ mew ~]

'No. No no no no no. She has to. I won't let her die!' Aquila shrieked, tears leaking out and dripping off his beak. 'Where's the matron?!' He swiveled his head around wildly.

((He's gonna be disappointed. the matron is dead.))

Emerald opened her eyes briefly, trying to make out the distorted figures in her vision, but failing.
Sapphire watched the poor owl mourn over his friend. "You wanted to go to Silverveil... Right? That's what you two were talking about? I have a forge set up there. I can even show you..." Her voice hushed a bit, "A live wolf..."

'I'm not leaving Emerald,' Aquila said, set in his descision. 'We need to help her.'

[Falkenfire]

Sapphire watched Aquila and extended her wing for him. "You know.... I don't think Emerald is going to be okay for a long while... Instead of worrying yourself... I mean... You should... Look, her weak spot was there. She wouldn't have made it..."

Aquila shrugged her wing off. 'She needs to be okay. She has to be,' he said quietly.

[Falkenfire]

Sapphire slowly arranged Emerald in a better position, slowly trying her best to save her. "My wolf friend lives in the beyond. She'll know what to do. If... we can get her there."
Emerald groaned quietly, "Aquila...?"

'We need to get her there. Now. I'll be right back.' Aquila flew around the tree, finally spotting what he was looking for-an unused stretcher made out of leaves and vines. He grabbed it and flew it back to Sapphire and Emerald. 'Get her onto here.'

Sapphire helped Emerald onto the stretcher and grabbed on in in one of her talons, the other held her smithing supplies.
