Flare whipped his tail across Leaf's mouth, who'd been about to protest, and nodded to the cat.
"Very well," he agreed, though he wasn't so sure. He wanted them to look cooperative and unaggressive, but he didn't know how many cats they were going to have to face. "And what should we call you?"

Leafstar headed to the stream. "I've heard you already know how to hunt?"

Mosskit tipped his head. "Is that why your so big?"

IcePaw nodded. " yes. I can very well actually. My mother was a....." she said trailing off.

SoulFire smiled and laughed a bit. " yea." she said to the young kit.

"I bet they'll be really pretty. JUst like you." Frostkit meowed smiling.

Leafstar just nodded. " Where going to hunt voles. There like mice. So make sure your paws are light."

"Darkpaw." He muttered narrowing his eyes. He turned and with a flick of the tail he signaled them to follow.

"Yeah!" Sunny exclaimed, eyes brightening. "I mean, that'd be so cool to live in a Clan!"

IcePaw nodded. " Ok. but my mother was from TreeClan....." she finished. IcePaw looked up and she hoped that LeafStar wouldn't be mad.

SoulFire smiled. "thank you" she said. " What are your names?" she asked, gently touching the kits on the head with her tail.

Flare nodded to Darkpaw and narrowed his eyes at Leaf and Tiger, silently ordering them to follow. They both did, Leaf muttering under his breath while Tiger was looking around calmly.
Flare picked up his uneaten squirrel, thinking that if he didn't get to eat it, he could at least offer it to whomever they were going to see. He followed behind, bringing up the rear of the group.

Windtalon looked over his shoulder back at the patrol. "Alright. I guess you could come to camp. Just to see how things work. CLan life is harder than you think."

"Im Mosskit!" A big brawny light brown tabby meowed. "I'm Frostkit! and thats Jaggedkit!" She said pointing to him with her tail.

Leafstar flicked one of her ears, surprised. "Your half-Clan?"

Darkpaw hissed softly as he saw the squirrel but he continued forward his head and tail up. He saw Leafstar talking to Ice up ahead. "Leafstar!" he called.

Leafstar looked up at him and then saw the cats behind him. "Who are they?"

"Intruders" he replied.

IcePaw nodded then shook her head. " yes. no. uh, i don't know. I can't remember." she said looking at the ground.

"It's fine." Leafstar touched her tail quickly to the apprentinces flank. "Lets go see what these rogues want." She meowed. Her ears flattened back against the back of her head and her eyes blazed as she saw the half eaten fresh-kill. She padded closer to Darkpaw. "You just found them?" she asked. Darkpaw nodded.

Icepaw nodded. " ok." she said. Icepaw walked up and her eyes narrowed and her ears were flat against her head.
