Sandcloud, true to Tigerblaze's suspitions, did jump. Breathing deeply, she grinned at him and purred, nuzzling his neck. Forcing her cream fur to lie flat, she pulled back, looking at the rabbit, her stomach growling.
"Hello to you too. Been hunting, have you?" She asked, turning her gaze back to her mate's. The rabbit looked like it would be a nice meal, and she wouldn't mind getting the kits to try some.

Tawnykit rolled with the impact. He guessed it was the right thing to do. Tail lashing, he glared up at his sister, a scowl plastered on his face. Now he couldn't get the leaf!
"What was that for?" He exclaimed, trying to wriggle free.

Tigerblaze.
Tigerblaze nodded, his smile growing as he sat down next to his mate. "Yep, I figured you'd be hungry." He explained, turning his head to watch the two kits rolling about. "So, how are you?" He asked, returning his gaze to Sandcloud as he spoke. Between patrols and hunting, he wasn't seeing as much of her as he'd like, and that bothered him.


Swankit.
"Lighten up!" Swankit mewed, stepping off of her brother and crouching down, ready to pounce again. "Come on, fight me." She challenged, a playful smirk obvious on her young face.

[Keriae]

Sandcloud purred, licking his cheek. "Of course I'm hungry. I have to cope with those two all day long." She mused, flicking her ear in the direction of Swankit and Tawnykit. She loved them, but rushing around after them left hardly any time for herself. "I'm fine, although I've missed you. You always seem to be on patrol." She pouted playfully, laying her head on his shoulder.

Tawnykit stood tall and padded in a wide circle around his littermate, watching her carefully. He continued to walk around her as she spoke, and then as he thought of what move to use first. Once he was by her side, he paused, looking at the camp entrance as if he had heard something. Hopefully she would fall for the trick.

Tigerblaze.
Tigerblaze licked her head affectionately, before resting his ching on her head, lightly. "I know... And I'm sorry, but I'll try and spend more time with you and the kits." He vowed, raising his head to look at Sandcloud's face. Compared to how he normally acted, the tom felt a lot more relaxed around his mate. However, there had been the incident with that tom. Sandcloud had probably seen his worst side that day.


Swankit.
Curious, the kit rose to her paws and bounded over to her brother's side, her gaze following his to the camp entrance. "What is it? Is it a patrol coming back?" She asked, looking from Tawnykit to the entrance and then repeating this. Swankit had an extremely short attention span, something that would probably plague her when she became an apprentice. And something that put her at a disadvantage.

[Keriae]

Sandcloud shook her head, a small smile playing on her lips. "Don't you worry yourself. It's not you fault." She paused, thinking. "I'd love to come on patrol with you one day soon, but with the kits so young...." She trailed off. There were no elders, and no queens in BrightClan. DarkClan may be staying with them, but she wasn't sure if she could trust any of those queens with her kits.

Smirking, Tawnykit twisted around and pushed his white-furred littermate with his forepaws, a joyous yowl erupting from his lips like a loud birdcall. "Ha! Tricked you, tricked you!" He teased, eyes glittering with laughter.

Tigerblaze.
Tigerblaze nodded solemnly as he listened to her worries. And he knew and understood why she was worried. "It's OK, I can survive on my own for a little while longer." He muttered, his smile returning as he nudged her gently. Although he missed her, he wasn't about to jeopardise the safety of the kits.


Swankit.
"Mousebrain!" Swankit hissed, annoyed that she had let her guard down. She tried to wriggle out of his grasp, but her brother was bigger than her, and he used his brain a lot more too. "Get off of me!" Just to make sure he did, she added her usual threat. "Get off or I'll get mother." She growled, still trying to push him off with her hind legs.

[Keriae]

"You sure? I'd love to get out of camp for a while." Sandcloud purred, breathing deeply. She really would. Being in camp, seeing the same things over and over every single day, only leaving to go to the dirtplace..... Shaking herself, the cream she-cat glanced at their kits.

Tawnykit moved away from her, his lips pressed into a small scowl. "You were the one who told me to fight you!" He complained before bounding away, into the nursery. He ignored his mother's voice as she called after him.

Tigerblaze.
The tom's eyes widened slightly as he noticed what she was suggesting. Why hadn't he thought of that?! "Well, I can look after them while you go out." He said, only after clearing his throat in a rather awkward and sheepish manner. Tigerblaze allowed his gaze to follow his son, Tawnykit, as the kit disappeared into the nursery.


Swankit.
Although she knew her brother was right, Swankit refused to admit it. Her pride wouldn't let her. Instead, she padded over to her mother's side, her fur bristling slightly in annoyance. She watched Tawnykit disappear into the nursery, her eyes narrowed as they followed his movements. Sometimes, he really did tick her off.

[Keriae]

Sandcloud shook her head, watching the entrance to the nursery. "I couldn't possibly go out on my own." She reasoned, and looked down at the white form of her daughter before glancing back at the nursery. Using her tail, she flicked Swankit's ear. "Dear, tell me what's happened this time." She told her gently, crouching down.

[yuki,]

Tigerblaze.
"OK." Nuzzling her gently, Tigerblaze then turned his attention to the bundle of white fur sitting next to them. "What's up?" He asked, lying down and touching his tail to the kit's side.

Swankit.
Swankit looked from one parent to the other, wondering whether she should even bother telling them or not. It wasn't that big a deal. "Nothing. Tawnykit's just being annoying." She muttered, turning away and disappearing inside the nursery. The kit didn't plan on apologising to her brother, not yet anyway.
