Rosedust caught up to Cinderstar and walked beside her. "I'm sorry if I inconvenienced you by making you come out here." Rosedust dipped her head. "I just thought that it would be better if you came, so the loners know we're not afraid to have our leader join us in these types of things, it makes our clan look stronger,...."

Soon, Frostpaw saw Spiritpaw return from the nursery. She studied the medicine cat apprentice's face, but there didn't seem to be any worry there; instead she looked happy. Frostpaw felt relieved. That must have meant everything went well with Honeyflower's kitting. She continued looking over there as Rosedust, the deputy, went in to visit. She considered going over as well, but felt a wave of shyness, and decided against it, for now. A little later, she jumped up as Rosedust burst back in the camp, heading straight to Cinderstar's den, yowling about a loner on the territory. Huh? Frostpaw hadn't even seen her leave the camp. She must have been daydreaming or something. Frostpaw then pricked her ears, thinking it must be pretty bad out there if they needed to come back to get help.

Of course, Badgerpaw had missed all of the day's events, including the birth of Honeystream's four kits and the scrabble with the loner Death. By the time he finally woke, everything was settling down, both in the camp, and the Clan's outer reaches. Yawning widely, Badgerpaw rolled over, and noticed that the apprentices' den was empty, except for him. No wonder he had slept so soundly, it was quiet as a mouse in here! But he had slept long enough, and he finally got to his paws, padding into the sunhigh air. Looking down, he also noticed that it had started snowing while he was asleep. With a scowl, he swiped at the powdery white covering. He hated leaf-bare. All cold for no reason, keeping all the tasty prey inside their dens! He stalked away from the den, coming to a stop underneath a tree, where the branches had blocked some of the snow. With a huff, he sat down, looking around for his mentor.

A while later, Wildheart was returning to camp, the hollow bush quivering as she slipped by it. In her mouth she carried a sizable hare and a mouse. She had enjoyed hunting the hare more, as it was exciting to give chase, rather than creep up silently in the mouse's case. Nevertheless, she was still satisfied to add to the fresh-kill pile. Once she had deposited her catches, she sat down, looking around the camp for someone to eat with. Spotting Whiterain near the warriors' den, searched the pile for two mice, then picked them up and padded over to him. Then placing them at her paws, so she could speak, she mewed, "Hello, Whiterain. Care to share a meal?"

Moonshqdow leaped after her and tasted the air. She scented nothing except for the faint scent of a rouge.

The leader looked over at Rosedust with a solemn smile. "It's fine, Rosedust. If you felt it was necessary then you did the right thing. Always do what you believe in, Rosedust." she assured her deputy, looking at the forest floor as she walked back to camp.

Snowspirit chuckled and came back with a rabbit.

Moonshadow looked surprised. "Wow! Your a great hunter!" Moonshadow ran off and pounced on a squirrel. It scented her before she could get to it, though, and it scrabbled up a tree. "Mouse dung!" She spat.
