Poison held Desertfire's shoulder. "Let them go. They're too easy and useless."

Sunny followed slowly, holding her dragonet close.

Desertfire hissed at her sister. "But with that hatchling... oh what you could do! Turn it against its own father and mother!"

Starflight, making sure to give a hard glare to both SandWings below, flapped after Sunny. "We have to be careful."

Poison paused. "Hmmmmm..." she said quietly, taking her talons off Desertfire's shoulder. "Great idea, Desertfire."

Sunny flew slightly faster.

Stardust heard wing beats echoing back along the tunnel to the forest. That sounds like five sets, not three, but I can't be certain because of the distance she thought. Worried that the SandWing queen was following them, she twisted around and squeezed back through the tunnel. She looked up and saw a barbless female SandWing with a male NightWing. Stars above, is that Sunny and Starflight?!

Desertfire smiled, "I'll take Starflight, you retrieve the hatchling? Or what would you like to do, as you are the queen."

Starflight flew faster as well. "Come on, Sunny, we have to get away from here as fast as we can."

Stardust quickly changed to a sky blue and jumped into the sky and glided in circles around the palace area. What she saw worried her. In the palace there were two SandWings, both female she guessed, one must be the queen, and she caught a snippet of something the NightWing said. All she had heard was "Sunny", so she guessed that was Sunny and Starflight for sure, so the SandWings in the palace must be Queen Poison and her infamous sister Desertfire. Sunny looked like she was carrying something, and she looked tired, so she guessed it was an egg or hatchling. Stardust angled her wings and landed back at the tunnel entrance, and turned a pale purple color so that they would know she was a RainWing. "Hey! Down here!" she called to Sunny and Starflight, waving her wings.

Sunny paused and looked down. "Who's that?" she asked Starflight.

Starflight peered upwards. "A RainWing?"

Sunny looked at Starflight. "It could be dangerous. Let's get home as soon as possible, this little dragonet needs a name."
