Currentstar smelled the faint scent of blood through the snow and purred deeply. "Very good. What kind of prey is it?" she asked, and padded forward to see him.

Aspenpaw-
The apprentice dropped his prey and inspected it closely like his mentor had taught him. "It's round and fat, white and fluffy..." he murmured to himself. "It's rabbit isn't it?" Aspenpaw asked excitedly. "Did I catch a rabbit?"

Currentstar nodded, purring. "Your first kill, and in Leaf-Bare, too. Good job." she meowed. "Now, how about some battle training?"

"Yes Currentstar!" Aspenpaw agreed happily, grateful to impress the Clan leader. "Should I bring the prey back to the Clan first?

"Usually you would just bury it, but since the snow might make it worse, we can bring it back to the camp." Currentstar said, and started back to camp.

"Alright!" Aspenpaw mewed cheerfully, and picked up the prey in his mouth, bouncing slightly as the two padded back to camp.
