Baxter woke with a start at the sound of yelling and screaming. He looked around, clearly confused about what was going on. Realizing that he had fallen asleep, he groaned at himself. He had promised that he'd stay awake until Icia and Malina went to sleep, and now he wasn't sure if he'd fallen asleep before then. How long had he been sleeping? Minutes? Hours? He couldn't tell. He noticed that Icia was settling down under a tree, and then at the tunnel. Malina was gone, but Baxter figured she'd probably gotten up to go to the bathroom or something. He looked back at Icia, wondering if she had noticed him or if she was still awake. He didn't want to wake her up, but...
"....Icia?" He half-whispered, half-called to the black dog. "Are you still awake?"

"shhh, its ok little one, im not gona hurt you, it was getting cold out" echo barked softlly

"No I don't want you!I don't need any adult acting liek a parent to me!Or taking me away form my friends." She snarled "How many friends do I get!?Do you know?How am I going to find them!?" she screamed louder and louder."Oh and don't act like my mom she dead!My dad killed her so go away let me be!" she charged snarling and growling for allowing a one year old she could hold her ground.To the bloodly end.

"would you like to starve and freaze to death?!" echo snaped and she bared her teeth, your lucky I found you, there are some wolfs that will kill you with out qestion" she added as a snarl

"Your nto my mother or my father so just do what a mutt would and go!" Malina screamed as liud as her lungs could.It was more a eerie howl and a snarl but you couldn't tell.She nipped at Echo's heels.She then sat and waited.

Snapping her neck around, she thought she heard something, her glowing azure eyes wide and vigilant. Realizing the call was not only her name, but it sounded like Baxter. Squinting her eyes, she could just make out his form in the sandbox. "Baxter? Is that you?" she whispered sleepily, and added a murmured "Yeah, i'm awake, I was almost asleep until a dog came to the tunnel and kicked something, I didn't want to sleep with all of that noise so I came over here". Icia creapt a little closer and tilted her head.

echo layed down in the entrince so the pup couldnt leave "stay or die, your choice" echo barked and it echoed ,she was close to the size of a great dane so she was a large dog and not to be messed with when she has pups close to her

crash pawed echo, thinking she was a puillow

echo grwoled and she glared at the little dog

crash yelped and raced off, echo looked out side and she nosed what looked like a whire door closed, not even the smallest dog could get out

"Oh, good," Baxter smiled slightly and wagged his tail, slowly standing up and beginning to walk closer to Icia. "I didn't want to wake you, but since you're already up, well.... I dunno, maybe we could talk for a bit?" For some reason, Baxter now felt like he couldn't fall asleep again, no matter how tired he was. Plus, he'd never really gotten the chance to really talk with Icia that much.
"Unless you want to go back to sleep," Baxter quickly added. "If you don't feel like talking, that's okay with me."

"Oh, good," Baxter smiled slightly and wagged his tail, slowly standing up and beginning to walk closer to Icia. "I didn't want to wake you, but since you're already up, well.... I dunno, maybe we could talk for a bit?" For some reason, Baxter now felt like he couldn't fall asleep again, no matter how tired he was. Plus, he'd never really gotten the chance to really talk with Icia that much.
"Unless you want to go back to sleep," Baxter quickly added. "If you don't feel like talking, that's okay with me."

A smile found it's way onto her maw and she yipped in a hushed tone, "Sure! I'd love to! And nah, i'm not really tired". Patting the spot next to her with her dainty black paw, Icia thumped her tail a little bit and asked, "So, what's your story Baxter?" Her eyes sparking with interest.
