The tom could practically feel resent rolling off of Mintsplash's fur. He felt a little touched by her sympathy towards the kit. He thoughtfully looked at the she-cat. 'She'll make a good mother,' He mused.

He sighed "i know... please dont tell anyone aboutbthis conversation" he began to pad away and thought 'i know its agaisnt the code.....but why did the one i love have to be a medicine cat...' he closed his eyes tight as a tear fell. He ran inro the tall grass and into an opening where there was a small creak, he sat down and dipped in his paw.

"Well then, let's take advantage of the time you have right now to explore the camp, shall we?" Mintsplash whispered to Stonekit. "I could show you around a bit, so you can get a head start when you become an apprentice." she offered, grinning at Robinchaser with a look asking him if he'd like to come along.

[Sable.]

"I won't..." Appleleaf trailed off as Redfern walked away. No one had ever liked her before. To most she was just the medicine cat. Nothing more, nothing less. She stood in the grass, unsure of what to do.

He nods at her, obviously itching to come along with the pair. "I'd love to come along, IF I may."

Stonekit jumped with joy but then stopped trying to keep it on the down- low he wispered back "yea lets go!" He mewed lightly in excitement

Redfern sat alone again and a tear fell into the creak making ripples he looked down and gave a sigh out

"Yes, you may Robinchaser." Mintsplash giggles. Mintsplash leaps to her feet and starts padding toward the apprentice's den, but notices Redfern along the way. "Hey, what happened to Redfern?" she whispers to Robinchaser quietly enough so Stonekit couldn't hear.

Robinchaser shrugged his shoulders. "Looks to me like a broken heart." He said back quietly.

stonekit caught up to them with his chin held high

"Redfern..." she whipered to herself. She didn't know how to deal with these sorts of things.
