The apprentice nodded glumly at Bluefeather, and his head peered around the she-cat so that the medicine cat den wass in view. He wanted to check on Poppypaw but he wasn't exactly sure he was welcome here. Finally he mustered up the courage and dipped his head to the older cat, "I'm going to check to see if my friend is okay. Stop me if I'm not allowed." With tentative steps, he slunk through the stares and padded through the camp, ignoring the glances snuck his way. Just as cautiously, the apprentice poked his head into the medicine cat den, "Poppypaw?"

The blood wouldn't stop and Mildtail cursed under her breath, as she had to remove the cobwebs to inspect the cat's wound further. Carefully, she took away the soaked webs and began to feel around with her paws until the problem became apparent. "Poppypaw?" Mildtail's head shot to the source of the voice and recognized the accompaning apprentice at once. With a snappy toongue, she looked at him while she worked, "You're Foxpaw I suppose? Where's Bluefeather? I wanted her to keep you busy." He stepped in with his ears back and she made no move to stop him. Better that he was in here, than out there with the rest of the clan. "Well?" she urged, pulling out supplies of broom and thick reeds of rush she gathered a couple days earlier. The tom found his voice finally, "I- I left her out there. I wanted to see Poppypaw. Do you know what's wrong with her leg?" Mildtail nodded with a sullen expression, "It's broken. Did you say how this happened?" He answered quietly, shuffling his paws where he sat, watching his friend with wide eyes, "She was in a tree and fell, but I didn't think that anything hurt her. It was only when she got to the ground!" She looked him in the eye with a sudden tranquility and he seemed to relax as a result. Between chewing the broom into a thick poultice she growled when Bluefeather was nowhere to be found at the moment. Probably off with her kit. She looked at him and nodded, "Alright, I need you to take these cobwebs and press them against her leg. Careful though, as we don't want to injure her further. When accidents happen, things can be overlooked in the midst. My guess is that as she feel, she slammed her leg against a branch, that's what would explain the sick I found lodged within. Hey - not so hard Foxpaw. That's better." With Foxpaw controling the bleeding, Mildtail finished the poultice and ushered him to the side where he retreated quickly. She willed Poppypaw not to talk to conserve her energy as she rubbed the poultice into the wound which would seep and mend the bone from the inside. Now to form the cast, she began to wind cobwebs thickly around Poppypaw's legs until the layers were rigid. And to finish, she attached the rush to the leg for support. When that was finished, the rest was up to Starclan but there was doubt in the medicine cat's eyes. This apprentice's leg would most likely never heal properly.

The tom cocked his head when Petalflower approached and he stifled a yawn, looking after Fawnstep as the she cat left him there with Petalflower. With a heavy sigh, he sat down, scratched behind his ear with his hind leg and finally answered. "Nothing's wrong. I'm just tired of there being strange cats in our camp." He didn't say anything else and turned away from her in attempt to reach the warriors den for some much needed sleep. He stopped though, when he remembered all of a sudden that, hey, he wasn't sleeping there anymore. His eyes narrowed and he awkwardly back tracked out to his makeshift nest away from everybody else. It was colder but it was also solitary and at the moment, after so much mind numbing happenings, that's what he needed the most. His head fell in between his paws and with every exhale, a feather by his nose shook until he closed his eyes and pretended to sleep before the nightmares hit him like a fast-pace monster on the thunderpath.

"Like I said," Silvertail shifted uncomfortably on her haunches, "I wouldn't expect you to. Would you like to?" The silver warrior hopped on her feet, an idea forming though she didn't expect the clan to enjoy it much. "Experience it, I mean. Every cat deserves the chance to know what it's like to feel what every warrior of Marshclan feel. We could ask Rainstar if you can learn the ways as an apprentice. There's so much you don't know. So much you miss out on by yourself out here." Her gaze darkened somewhat and she avoided eye contact, "If not though, you must leave the territory and never return. It's just how it is..."
