Pebblekit's ears twitched again. There it was! That scent! She looked towards her mother, but her mother was too busy watching Brightkit near Strawkit to notice. Pebblekit followed the scent, her body pricked with excitement. Following the scent caused her to even leave camp, but not far maybe a few steps?. She would hear alot about this from her mom, but whatever. The curious she cat mewed as she seen Hawk. The she cat recognized the Tom she mewed with excitement and leaped at him.

( Yep school is canceled for us too.)

Hawk didn't see the small bundle of fur until it was ramming into his side with open paws. He yelped and fell onto his side, beginning to chuckle as he noticed the small kit's head blinking happily up at him. He laid onto his back, flashing his pearly white stomach at the kit.
"Hey there! Good lord your looking larger with every day."

He chuckled, his voice a soft, but earth shaking purr that rumbled through him. He flicked his tail over the kit's head, his eyes sparkling with joy and a tenderness. He might hate kits, but something about these kits...... Be it they were Smallstep's, or that he had watched them when they were still newborns, reminded him of his own. The one's he had lost. Of what they could of been like. Despite that though, they didn't fill him with sorrow. They filled him with pride.

Something that had never been before.

( Pebblekit and Specklekit like each other as for now. Oh and Stonekit kinda likes Pebblekit, then Brightkit was trying to play with Barkkit but he growled at her so she went to Strawkit. Hawk is returning and Pebblekit recognized his scent from when she was littler. Then Tigerclaw and Hollyclaw are talking, um and Cherryleaf and Goldenpaw. Oh Moonfeather calmed Smallstep down a little by saying she would leave. However Smallstep is still keeping a eye on her until she's gone, oh and she is very cautious about her kits with the other kits. Specklekit tried to get Pebblekit to talk, after awhile all she could pronounce was sun. The rest of her words are too hard to say or mixed up terribly. She doesn't talk around anyone that she doesn't trust. That's all I think xD)

Pebblekit giggled and mewed, she would've tried to talk but she thought it would embarrass her. Pebblekit pawed at him and turned to look at her mother, the little she cat giggled and pawed at his head. Her little body quivering with excitement. Smallstep pricked her ears, her eyes now turned back to the rogue, she would make sure the rogue left. Smallstep flicked her ears and heard Pebblekit's mew. My goodness if Stqrclan doesn't kill me first then they will. She thought, she got up and stopped when she seen it was Hawk.

Hawk gently nuzzled the top of Pebblekit's head, then turned to see Smallstep only a few fox lengths away, watching him. His eye's were still filled with tenderness as he stared at her, but now there was a welcoming look as well. A look that spoke more than the thousands of words that filled Hawk's mind. He coughed slightly, grinning at the small kit. It had been many moons since he had last spoken such a long sentence. He didn't have any intention of doing it again. He had taken a vow of silence when his mate and kits had died, but something about this silent kit had brought forth the words within him.

He stood up and sat down on his hind legs, his tail flicking back and forth as he watched the young kit. Turning to Smallstep, he shrugged apologetically, his smile small but present.

{ Does anyone else get the image in there head that like, Hawk and Smallstep are seeing each other for the first tiem in 10 years? Like that scene in a movie, only with cat's? All white background and a zoom pan of their faces smiling at each other while the kits play at Hawk's feet. *facepalm* Maybe it's just me. }

Pebblekit giggled, she looked at her mother and flinched. Her mother always ruined her fun didn't she? The she cat slouched, her pelt brushing the moist ground. Smallstep walked towards them flicking her tail, she looked at Hawk before smiling. "I was wondering when you would arrive." the she cat said gently.

Hawk grinned sheepishly, flicking his tail back and forth. He hadn't exactly meant to stray so far from the clan. He had just felt.... broken after his meeting with Smallstep. Things that hadn't popped up in years buzzed at the edges of his mind, threatening to overwhelm him. He had needed a few days, at least, to cool off. To remember who he was, where he was, and what had happened. To never forget it, but to not let it rule his world.

AS he gazed at Smallstep and the kit, he felt a pang of guilty. They had no idea. They didn't know that the cat before them was a murderer. A fiend who had no qualms with sneaking in the night and slitting the throat of another. His eyes darkened and he looked away, suddenly unable to stare Smallstep in the face.

Smallstep pricked her ears noticing him turning away, she stared at him awkwardly. "What's the matter?" The she cat asked worriedly. Smallstep wrapped her tail around Pebblekit and pulled her closer. "Run along now go play." The she cat told her kit, she watched as Pebblekit scampered away. Smallstep then turned back to Hawk and frowned.

Swiftcreek laughs lightly with his attention focused on Petalfall again. "Oh, don't be sorry. I'm like the rest of the crowd. I only lost my parents." He stares up at the shards of blue peeking through the leaves of the trees overhead. "It's not as if it's goodbye yet," he murmurs.

Petalfall smiled as she listened to this tom's words, they also seemed to sooth a part in her that missed her own parents, and a twin brother she had lost in the fire. She smiled, "YOu're a brave tom, Swiftcreek." She admitted softly.
