“I wouldn’t worry too much. Hawk will be fine. Who knows maybe he won’t act up with Velvetstar. That’s a good way to get her angry. Or at the very least possibly annoy her.” Snowstorm sighed. She wanted to do something to help Spotted but at the moment was unsure as to what she could do. Maybe a walk around the boarders once Velvetstar returned.

Her ears pricked up at the sound of a voice behind her. Rive took a step or two to back out of the hole so that she could offer a respectful nod of her head to Dawnpaw, acknowledging the greeting. It looked like Applefrost had been recruited to help out as well. Rive glanced at the warrior, offering the briefest of eye-contact before shyly averting her gaze. The atmosphere was different around the medicine dogs, but having a warrior present served as a stark reminder of her rank.
Rive remained quiet while Needlefang saw to her visitors and decided to busy herself with more digging. That was what she was here to do, after all. As she raked at the earth with her claws, she steadied herself. It seemed there had been a vision after all, but Dawnpaw was the one who had received it. Whatever it was, it had Needlefang spooked enough to want an alternate escape path. That worried Rive, but all she could do at the moment was keep digging, so that was exactly what she did.

Dawnpaw nodded. "Alright, I'll just gather a bit." She exited the medicine den, and turned to Applefrost, unsure whether the older warrior would still wish to tag along. "I'm going to go looking for chamomile... do you want to still help?" she asked, and though she seemed to be looking at Applefrost's face, she was, in reality, mostly smelling it. It was due to her strange eye condition that she couldn't see too well, and though they were close, Dawnpaw's companion was still rather blurry.

She nodded to the pup "um yeah this is Shadowclan territory" she said thinking her words carefully "so you're got separated by your parents? How long? do you think could they still be somewhere nearby?" she asked. She knew that this pup was too young to be left alone into the woods if his parents are not being found she needs to take him to the camp.

She flicked her ears in shock when the pup answered "maybe for a week, two weeks alone and still alive? That's impossible" she said flicking her tail lightly. She looked at him wondering if he was small enough for her to carry him, but they seemed to be somewhat in same-sized, thought she was a little bit larger "Well I don't have other options that bring you to our camp, you will die there by yourself...can you walk?" she asked.

It occurred to her that Rive was looking at her, so she offered a kind smile. However, the chihuahua had already started to glance away and Applefrost brushed the smile off. She followed Dawnpaw out of the den and listened to her speak. "Of course. I don't have anything else to do," she murmured with slight amusement and smiled. The warrior noticed that her eyes had an odd glassy look to them as if the medicine dog apprentice wasn't looking at her. Applefrost didn't want to say anything though, especially if it ended up offending Dawnpaw by accident.

She turend to lead the way, but keep her speed slow so the weak pup could keep up with her without getting much more hurt or anything "hmm, not that far, jsut behind those trees and bushes" she asnwered, but then started to think what she could tell her pack mates, to being out all alone.
