Cookie's paws were being placed heavily in the dead grass. At the sound of a snarl, she turned her head calmly to see a wolf-like canine. "Clearly you're not a full wolf. I can tell because we're in California and there are no woods around here anywhere, so I hope you're not expecting me to be afraid of you." Her twitched. Cookie had a habit of being rude with first greetings and telling them off about how she wasn't going to be expected to be afraid of them.

She looked up at the black crow that seemed to be comfortably perched on the branch. Turning her gaze back to the brute infront of her, Cookie met his gaze, "You don't have the eyes of a wolf either. More shepherd than wild. You're a hybrid, arn't you. Wolf bred with German Shepherd." Cookie had a way of reading others. Her eyes were young and studied others hard. That's what made it so easy to detect his true breed.

Licking her nose again, she stuck her nose high in the air to take in a whiff of all the scents around her. Cookie kept her gaze light with kind eyes. She may have the strength to put up a fight, but she didn't have an interrest in fighting right now.

Ink's world went a fuzzy black. Her head hit the soft sand as she floated softly onto the beach shore, water washing over her furry body. Ink was soaking wet, and now grains of white sand in her silver and black fur. She made no response, she was blacked out. How did she end up here, she did not know. All Ink knew was that she somehow got hurt, or something. She was a large dog, it had something to do with her being a wolf hybrid, and it made a impression in the cool sand.

Ryo was impressed by her calculations, but also deeply offended by being reminded of his dog blood. In a way, it was his wolf blood that had kept him alive and he felt more akin to the wolves of his ancestors than to the dogs. He stopped snarling, but his fur remained bristled. He would fight, if it came to that. But he doubt it would last long, with his wound. "What are you doing here? There's a dog fighting arena nearby. You get caught and you're doomed." he snarled.

He shifted slightly and winced. His wound was hidden by the foliage around him, but the smaller, more shallow bite marks on his already scarred neck were visible. They had already stopped bleeding and had scabbed over. He wanted to sigh and lie down, but he was aware that even if this dog was a fighter, she would no doubt be strong. She was almost as big as him, and that enough. He might be angry, but he wasn't stupid either. He was wounded and weak from the loss of blood and judging from the gleam of her coat, she was healthier than him.

Cookie was pleased with herself as he stopped snarling. Smiling, Cookie looked around, "Yeah, I know. I ain't afraid of humans though. I'm not a fighter." Sitting in the grass, she lifted one of her paws and pawed the air toward him, "You're hurt, aren't you."

Drawing back her ears, she could hear the humans screaming in the backround. It was cruel what the humans were doing, no doubt. She lowered her head, trying to get a look of his wound. It was obvious there was pain in his face. "Ah, you've been in the ring." she shook her head, "It's shame what those humans do. I could take 'em, but I ain't that strong."
