.arkest Shadows:. wrote:Snow continued gazing at the sky, watching the hues fade away, dominated by the darkness that always won. The brightest stars need the darkest shadows to shine. Such a perfect night for such an ocassion, the pearl tom thought, feeling his claws flex once more. Casting a glance over his shoulder, the pearl tom had to withhold a chuckle. The young molly accompanying 'handsome' had begun to puff up, lips curled and fangs showing. In his most honest opinion, it was amusing. Downright amusing. So all it takes is my being merely falling into silence? You will enrage yourself and expend energy just like that? Regardless, Snow turned back to the front wordlessly, having long heard the massive tomcat before he'd arrived. As the tomcat came with that excuse, Snow locked his baby blue eyes on the tom, examining him again. The blood flow had started up again, if it had ever stopped, and he looked as if he'd rather be anywhere else. Can't blame the young one, can I? Life lessons aren't always easy to learn. Then, as if a silently issuing a challenge, Hawkcry broke into a fast trot. Immediately increasing his pace, Snow made sure to stay one tail length behind, enjoying the feel of the wind blowing through his soft pelt. But, he stopped dead once he saw the warrior's home.
It was beautiful. Perhaps the most beautiful thing he'd seen in a long time. Water. The camp was built around water. Usually, he had to travel miles for a drink. Not to mention the gorgeous light of the moon reflected off of it, giving it a somewhat eerie glow that reminded Snow of home. His first home. Now, the rogue wanted to get their even quicker. Feeling the gaze of Hawkcry upon him, Snow turned to him, meeting the warrior's gaze and offering him another sweet smile; the same time smile he'd offered before the fight had broke out. A jackrabbit, hmm? Not bad handsome- I wonder if you actually used your head unlike earlier or just got lucky. Come to think if it, I'm leaning towards the latter. I haven't seen a single lick of prey aside from that lizard. Oh, you have so much to learn. Then, as if on cue, Snow lifted his feathery tail high, baby blue gazed focus on the place. Magnificent. Such a wonderful view. Now, we need to get a move on, it's dark out. The predators like to hunt, for they are cloaked by the darkness. With our bloody reeking hides, we need are a sitting target, and I'm sure the last thing you'd like is for a coyote to come for your little molly accomplice.

└───────────────────────┘With a snort, Hawkcry kept moving, sensing the white tom's impatience, though he didn't know why he was so eager to arrive at camp.. Why does he want to get there so badly? Doesn't he realize that Scorchstar will most likely reject him? His urgency and need to get home quickened as the group of three made their way across the cool, vast Wastelands. Sand became stuck in the dark warrior's pads, and blood dripped from his face, a relentless river as they trudged up and over hills and avoided snakes and scorpions and spiders that occasionally crossed their path. The nighttime breeze was quote refreshing, though the dust it brought with it stung the brawny tom's wounds, and burned his eyes.. he clenched his jaws around his catch and dealt with the pain in silence.
When Hawkcry heard a coyote howl, he picked up the pace. Coyotes were a major menace to the desert and the cats within it... unless you wanted to suffer from their wrath, as they usually roamed in packs, it was best to be at the Oasis and safely inside it before they went hunting. It was quite frightening to hear their cries when deep inside the tunnels of the warriors' den.. and there had been plenty of sleepless nights for the dark tabby as he tried to block out the yowling and hollering. In fact.. because of the dangerous place they lived in, Scorchstar often issued curfew. The dark tabby suspected they were past it, but hoped his leader wouldn't mind when he saw his catch and the rogue they had with them.
