Littlestep looked up at the sky, the bright sunny rays connecting with her leafy green eyes, "Duskclan has worked much better than I thought. Though we very well couldn't still be separate with the numbers lost." Wanting to change the subject to something a bit happier, "Tigerfang and I are supposed to go for a walk later tonight, you should come with."

"Indeed!" Sootnose quietly agreed, creeping into a clump of bracken. A moment later he pounced, only to find a hind paw tangled in the tendrils. With a yowl he slammed his paw down on the vole's tail, desperately trying to yank it towards himself.

He jumped to the vole and killed it before it got away. "It would've been a perfect catch without you tangling anywhere." he mewed and laughed a little.

Tigerfang gently set down his fish, spottibg a squirrel. It was a bit bigger then the others this time of year. He crouched down, silently stalking towards the creature, which back was turned towards him. Suddenly, the squirrel's tail shot up and he pounced and killed it before it had a chance to run.

She padded to Tigerfang. "Awesome! You are fast after all." she mewed and looked at the big squirrel.

"Oh, no, I wouldn't want to interrupt!" Foxcloud purred. She had been quite surprised when she found out that Tigerfang and Littlestep were mates - they all had been, she guessed.

Sootnose's ears flattened with embarrassment. "Sorry about that..." With a few nips and tugs, he managed to jerk his leg free.

Tigerfang gave Creampelt a small smile. "That's not really considered fast, but I suppose so." He turned his head to face the tree tops. Soon it would be time for Sandstar to choose the new deputy. "Creampelt, who do you think Sandstar'll choose?"
