Bristlepelt nodded. "Yeah of course." He stood by him ready to launch if he need to. "If your just going to watch, then shut your mouth, Ottersplash. This is serious." He snapped at her.

"I didn't say anything.", she snarls.

Bristlepelt watched as Sparrowcatcher was sent backwards and bounded towards him. "Oh Starclan, are you okay?"

[fletch]

"Eugh...yeah," Sparrowcatcher resisted the urge to be embarrassed. He picked himself up and rubbed his head. No blood, but he felt dazed. The tom turned to glance at the badger, who had not moved.
Come on, get up and get out of here! He thought to himself. He did not want to see the badger die here. "Why doesn't it go?"

Bristlepelt sighed in releif and took his attention back to the badger. "I don't know.." He murmured. Bristles then let out a string of loud barking and howling meows at the badger to see if it would react to the sounds and leave.

Whilst laying upon the ground, the badger's one ear twitched at the noises. A great hurrr drew from its lungs, and yet it did not make an effort to stand. For several moments it lay, blood bubbling at its nostrils.
"Come on. Move, you stupid creature!" Sparrowcatcher called. For a moment the creature stirred. It drew one paw towards its chest--one of the very paws that Bristlepelt feared. Then, slowly, its massive head followed. It made no other movements but stared around with intelligent but dull, black eyes.

Bristlepelt stood looking at the beast, speachless. He wasn't sure what to do. Run? Stay? Help the creature? "What do we do?" He whispered in shock to Sparrowcatcher

Ottersplash unsheathes her claws. She wanted to protect her pelt.

"I think we sh--" Sparrowcatcher was suddenly cut off as the beast grunted sharply, rose its head and clambered to its feet. Its short white and black striped fur was matted with blood along one side and its neck fur had been worn away from the trap; replaced by a red, inflamed wound. For a moment the badger paused, breathing deeply then turned its head to glance at the three cats. Without another word the beast turned and slowly, slowly, walked away, deeper into the wounds, stumbling on its exhausted legs.

OOC: So, afterwards...
Perhaps news comes to camp of a badger ravaging the territory for food. Sparrowcatcher, Bristle and Otter know that it is their badger, so they go out. But instead of them finding it it finds them. But, instead of attacking, it stares at them. More into this can become a sort of friendship, with the cats trying to hide it from the others as they know that no one would ever take to a friendly badger. The badger eventually knows one word in cat, which is his own name: Obelix. The Sparrow/Bristle plot can work its way in through here.
