Iceflower sighed and looked for Tiger, she hasn't seen her apprentice since the battle.

Stormpaw limped around, "mist? Mist where are you?" She called out

Mist ran to Stormpaw in worry, "are you okay?!" We lost!

Grump hissed "How could we lose!?"

Mist shook his head sadly, "Shiver died."

Stormpaw nuzzled her mentor, "I'm okay, I only got a few gashes, nothing too bad. And Shiver died?! That's horrible!" Stormpaw shook her head, "how did you manage the fight?" The younger cat asked.

Mist shrugged and thought of his half-sister killing Carrion and her deputy killing his leader, Shiver, "not sure, will you sit vigil?"

"Of course, he was a great leader" Stormpaw lowered her head, it was horrible, why did Shiver have to die, he was such a strong cat with many more moons ahead of him. She shook herself, "did any other cats not make it through the battle?" She asked, remembering how she was separated from the other two apprentices. Stormpaw hadn't seen either Tiger or Snowpaw since then.

Tiger and Snowpaw suddenly burst into camp, Thistle, Carrion's deputy, following after, head lowered and teeth clenched as his eyes began to water

Mist looked sadly at his uncle, Thistle and then turned back to Stormpaw, he had been distracted, "huh?"

"Carrion died!" Snowpaw burst out and jumped forwards, eyes wide and rounding
