When she was done, and he was clean, he inched away from Berryfrost and returned to his corner. He curled up and yawned before closing his eyes. His useless ears drooped slightly as the kit drifted to sleep.

Berryfrost watched as the kit walked away, feeling bad for his loneliness. Scooting Rosekit closer she curled around her and drifted into sleep.

He curled up on his side, his head turned upside down as he slept.

Featherstone returned to the nursery, moss clamped in his jaws. He slipped inside and added it to the nest Berryfrost and Rosekit shared, then placed whatever was left of it into Silentkit's nest carefully so as not to wake any of them. He then turned and exited the den to carry on with his duties.

she woke up and looked over Berryfrost as she was asleep. i wonder if scilentkit is awake? she thought looking over to him.

Silentkit had begun to stir, turning over in his nest. His eyes were open just a crack as he stared up at the roof of the nursery. He'd been sleeping just fine, but he woke when he recognized Featherstone's scent. It was familiar to him, but he couldn't tell why. His gaze lowered to Rosekit's and their eyes met.

Her forest green eyes sparkled.she smiled at him and waved her tail in greeting.

Berryfrost slept soundly next to the little kit the horror of the day wearing her out.

Silentvoice's blues blinked, flicking to her tail as she waved it. He inched closer to his corner, but returned the wave with his small fluffy tail.

"I'm Rosekit!" She mewed softly wondering if he could hear her," if you want maybe we could play some time!" She mewed.

Hearing the little kits voice Berryfrost woke, "he can't hear. you hon" she said quietly"his ears don't work like ours"
