I went back into the back of the store, changed into my regular clothes and walked over to the girl I had been talking to earlier. "What did you think?" I asked her.

Nexxus nodded then a little embarrassed because she couldn't see him he chuckled and said in a light care free tone "Usually folks come in here and order coffee and a pastry anything you would be interested in?" Waiting for a answer Nexxus turned away and started preparing her coffee nodding his head to the beat of the piano piece playing quietly over head. Sometimes new musicians would come in and play live those where always Nexxus's favorite days, there is just something different about the way live music sounds it just is more pure you could say. Light chatter echoed through the coffee hut a few groups of people sat in the booths one group on a couch that sat in the top right corner of the shop.

As the coffee started Nexxus turned towards Melane eager to start a conversation. Nexxus loved to talk to lone costumers he felt like some kind of coffee bar tender sometimes and he loved to hear the stories of another. Not to mention he had learned some great things about the city from words of others. " Pretty trinket I especially like the feather" he always started a conversation with a compliment it was a way to say hey I am friendly to some. Some were empty compliments some weren't. I can assure you this was no empty compliment Nexxus really did love the trinket around her neck. It suited her yellow coloring well, and went with her eyes. Though some may think that white was dole and a sign of lameness Nexxus saw it as beauty.

Melane smiled a little more as he spoke again, taking in that he had plenty of experience with customers in this coffee shop. "Well, i wouldn't want to go against to norm around here." She said, smiling towards Nexxus kindly, a small soft chuckle in her tone. "I'll have a glazed doughnut as well to go with it." She spoke, listening to several groups chatter of personal affairs, as well as the music that played in the shop. She turned, and found a spinning chair, like those you would find in a bar, and sat as she waited for her coffee and doughnut. As well, she wanted to talk to this server more, he was really nice. She couldn't find many nice people around a lot more, then again, she didn't travel much.

"Thank you. I always have it with me, reminds me of my friends and family." She said softly, blinking her eyes. Even though she was blind, it was still something that came as a natural motion, though she blinked less often that those around her, she was unaware.

Nexxus smiled and nodded "Coming right up" he chuckled and walked to the other end of the counter where a glass case was full of nice baked pastries another unique thing about the shop was all the pastries where baked that morning assuring a nice fresh taste. In the morning Nexxus along with other employes mouths would water at the smell. Putting on his gloves Nexxus looked down into the glass sometimes no donuts would be left after the morning rush but lucky for Melane there was one donut left. Setting it down by her Nexxus checked on the coffee just a few more moments and it would be done. "You're lucky usually all the donuts are gone by noon. The morning rush takes them faster then a starved dog given his choice of steak. I'm really horrible at sayings so bare with me Miss..." Nexxus chuckled a little and leaned closer. "Never caught your name" he breathed.

Right then the coffee beeped giving Nexxus the notice that it was done and ready to serve. Turning away Nexxus made it over to the coffee in a few steps. Waiting a standard 20 seconds before grabbing the cup from the coffee maker. Taking a wiff Nexxus smiled as the coffee smelled like it was going to be good. Pouring it into some paper cup like thing Nexxus secured the lid making sure none of the liquid would spill before bringing the small coffee over to her. "Will that be all?" he asked in a sweet tone hoping she was staying to enjoy her order

Melane smiled still as she sat quietly, letting her ears take in what else was going on in the coffee shop. Even though she could not see the place, it felt homey, and she liked it. She enjoyed the soft music, the service was extremely nice and social, everything here was really nice, even the seats were rather comfortable to sit on. "I guess i'm lucky today then. I met a nice person, and i've gotten my doughnut." She said, smiling as she giggled a little. "Oh, my manners. My name is Melane. May i ask yours now?" She spoke, directing her gaze towards his voice. She enjoyed the conversation, as she grasped the small plastic cup of coffee, sipping on it slowly. When he spoke once more, she paused, feeling it right to give him her full attention. "Possibly. I'll let you know." She smiled again.

Pink Dust smiled and said "I love it, so much that you'll be my new Model and Assistant, you get to choose which designs you like best and model them in celebrity Fashion shows!"

Nexxus nodded and leaned against the counter watching as one of his comrades helped a girl who had spilled her coffee all over her shirt, she must have been remarkably calm because she didn't scream or cry. Coffee was hotter then you may think and it will burn the hell out of you. Shaking his head to clear his thoughts Nexxus smiled amused as she commented to his question. "So I take it you're staying?" he more asked then commented. Even though he had lived in the city for some time now he found himself lacking friends. Other then the ones who lived in his building he was pretty much a lone sole. Not to speak of love life, he had never had a serious relation ship and only two kisses that actually counted. Sad but he tended not to think about it a lot, work was what he had to focus on to assure a better future.

Gazing out the window Nexxus looked into the fashion shop "Looks like the fashion show is over." he commented kindly. Walking around the counter Nexxus grabbed a light stool and took a seat directly across from Melane suddenly remembering his manners "Totally forgot I am Nexxus." he grabbed her hand giving it a small shake before going on "Melane is a wonderful name girls everywhere must envy you for it!" he chuckled.

"Wait, what?!?!" I asked the customer. Then all the pieces fell into place. This customer wasn't just a customer... she had a clothing line! She was Pink Dust! We sold her clothes! "Are you... Pink Dust?!?" I asked her excitedly.

Melane smiled, taking a larger sip of her coffee as she remained in the seat. As she drank, she heard the sound of a splash, and perhaps a cup hitting the ground. She felt bad for who it had been spilled on. If it was as hot as hers, it could hurt quite a bit. She enjoyed the coffee, and after a moment remembered that she had a glazed doughnut as well. She fumbled for it for a moment, before she found it, an took a bite from it, enjoying the flavor of it as well. Most looked for chocolate, or the boston creme filled ones, but Melane liked glazed, savoring the sweet flavor that came from the glaze, and set off the underlying flavor of the plain doughnut beneath the glazed flavor. "I'll stay for a little while, talking with you is pretty nice, besides, i don't have anything else to do today, and not many friends around here." She smiled towards him.

"Is that where the loud music was coming from? I thought it was a party.." She smiled, a little embarrassed. Her tail moved to wrap around the stool's one center leg, though she didn't noticed, and if she had, she probably wouldn't mind if she ha either. "Nice to meet you Nexxus." She smiled, letting him shake her hand, it felt warm and inviting, and when his hand was gone, she could still feel his imprint, as if it were still their. At his compliment, she smiled, a small blush along her cheeks. "Thank you, but their mostly mean towards me, they treat me different because i'm blind. But theirs their choice, everything comes back around eventually." She said softly, her smile never fading.
