Wolfpaw looked at Whitecloud.
"And how can we prevent the inevitable?" Wolfpaw looked up through the trees. "When your name is the fate of those around you, it sticks. You build lie upon lie." Wolfpaw looked back at Whitecloud. "As harsh as it may sound, another mate can always be found. Another brother, another sister, another mentor; another mom, dad, aunt and uncle; You don't always get another." Wolfpaw looked at her queen. She found it came out very disrespecting, and she shied.
"I'm sorry. It's just been a while since I've talked about it."

The medicine cat snorted, getting from the water and shaking out his pelt, sending sprinkles of water flying at the small patrol. He flicked his tail, turning back to the brambles and gripping another trendle in his jaws, grip firm. He began to tug harshly at them, wondering what was taking the apprentices.

Wooly eyed him over, curiosity sparking in her gaze. "But I don't know how to hunt. My few meals have been by-chance hunts or finds." she meowed, a puff of white leaving her mouth as she spoke. She shook her curly, long fur, fluffing it out against the cold as a sharp wind blew, feeling as though it held ice. "It's going to snow soon. Not too long now since the first snow." she meowed, voice calm as she turned her face to the wind, eyes narrowed.

Foxstride's eyes gleamed as she looked at the necklace. Her eyes met the tabby's and she smiled at her. "Thank you,"she said as she bowed her head to Naomi, "I love it. It looks amazing and I can't wait to wear it." Flicking her tail and ears, Foxstride pushed a bundle that she had placed behind her at the beginning of their encounter. "Here is you a extra present. It's a little something I found along the way," smiling Foxstride flicked open the bundle to reveal the burnet leaves and one leaf of catmint. Foxstride sat and waited for Naomi's response, almost to excited to sit still.

Naomi's eyes lit up at the scent of catmint. The herb was valuable, and rare this late in the season. "Oh, thank you!" she said warmly, unconsciously kneading the ground the way they did when she was happy. "That's very kind of you." She liked having herbs with her; it was always good to have something to treat herself if she got sick or hurt, or if she found anyone in need of it in her travels. And she knew several cats willing to trade some beautiful things for herbs like this. "I don't suppose you'd be interested in any more trinkets?" she asked, hoping for a way to repay Foxstride.

Moonfeather ducked her head, about to flee from the camp, when she noticed a small grey kit staring at her. Moon's ears perk slightly as her nose twitched as she sniffed the kit. He was definatly a clan kit. Moon flicked her tail wondering if she should help the kit get back to his mom or just leave him there. The clan might not want a rogue messing with the kit. Moonfeather stared back at the kit, completely undecided Moon sighed as she slowly lowered herself to the ground in front if the kit, "Hey there. Where are you going?" Moon stuck out her paw for the small grey bundle of fur to sniff. Moon smiled slightly, "I won't hurt you," she whispered, lowering her head to the ground.

Owlkit didn't understand her words, but the tone was calm, and sounded kind, so his curiosity won out. The she-cat extended her paw, and Owlkit cautiously stepped forwards to sniff it, his blue eyes fixed on her the whole time. She smelled, not of family and clan, but of forests and wind and far away places. His eyes widened as he sat back, still staring at her.

With a gentle sniff at the pad and thorn after carefully thinking it through from what she'd remembered when as a kit, getting a thorn stuck in her own pad, she delicately gripped it between her teeth, slowly she began to prod it out until one final and swift flinch she pulled it out. She sighed quietly with relief as she spat it out into a bush and licked his pad till the blood stopped flowing, "I believe that should do it." She mewed quietly in her shy soft voice.

"Thank you," replied Pineclaw, a genuine smile--rare, since he'd lost his mate--crossing his face. He carefully placed his paw back down, testing his weight on it. It stung, but that was already fading. "Let's get going, then, shall we?" he said briskly, turning back towards the forest.

Gritting his teeth as the bush fell away he held back a soft hiss as a few thorns scratched over his muzzle, leaving a few tiny marks but not drawing blood. He managed to pull his tangled fur away with only a few thorns stuck in them. He turned around to pry them out before spitting them out and smiling at the success of their team work. "Where shall we take it?" He asked as he turned his amber gaze to his leader.

Shadowpaw nods sadly. "It's a beautiful sight. Very green, and lush." the tom murmurs. A few heartbeats later, his leader's light pelt catches his eye. He had better help with the thorns, or he'd be the most useless cat in the clan! "Songpaw, excuse me. I think I should go help Eaglestar and Tigerclaw with the bushes." Shadowpaw awkwardly mews in farewell. He touches the tip of his feathery tail to Songpaw's shoulder before scampering off. "Eaglestar! Could I please help with these bushes as well?" the black apprentice asks, already sniffing the nearest pile of brambles.

Eaglestar smiled at Tigerclaw, then looked back at the bush. "Let's take it--" she stopped as she spotted her apprentice headed their way. She nodded approvingly at his desire to help. "Why don't you help Tigerclaw move this? We'll want it over there," she paused, nodding towards an edge of the camp where the undergrowth was rather bare. "Just be careful of the thorns, both of you." she glanced back at Tigerclaw, reaching up to pull a stray thorn from his fur.

Whitecloud's eyes watered at her words about family,Her mouth quivered as if she was about to cry but she swallowed her sadness and stared at Wolfpaw “We find another mate but it will take awhile and by then I won't need one and I will be too old. We can find another family,Famiky isn't about relation; It's about love”She mewed with sorrow and a tinge of anger at he disrespectful remark.

Arcade smiled ”If we stay together,we can survive”He mewed and looked into her eyes “Let's get to it then,Now please be quiet when you walk”He mewed

Wolfpaw nodded. A tear she didn't hide well rolled down her tufts of hair on her cheek.
"But what happens when the ones who you try to love turn away? When they reject you?" She closed her eyes with her shoulders rising.
"When they just don't seem to realise that you love them?"

A small but broad-shouldered brown tabby with amber eyes. She doesn't have very good eyesight; she's not blind, but anything too far away is blurry for her. Her hearing is average, and she has an acute sense of smell. She has a strong grip, both with her paws and her jaws. She's not particularly fast or agile.
Personality:

She's generally cautious and quiet. A good listener, and loyal to those who earn her trust. She can be lazy, and will sleep all day if she has the chance. She does her best in training, but often has trouble. She's easily stressed, though she tries not to show it. She's stubborn, and has a hard time letting something go. She can hold grudges.

History:

She was born in RainClan, but never knew her mother, who died in childbirth. She was very small when she was born, earning her name, and many didn't think she'd survive the winter. She was cared for by various queens, and under their care she pulled through. As time went on she grew, but was always a bit smaller than the others. She often couldn't keep up with them, and spent much of her time sleeping in the nursery. This is where she was, where, when she was just over 5 moons, the fire struck. She was woken by the smell of smoke and the queens urging her to run. She ran, but, coughing on the smoke, soon fell behind. The queens were too busy carrying their younger kits, and didn't notice her. She would have died there, but a tall cat emerged from the fog, helping her forwards. She kept ahead of the flames, but eventually lost the other cat in the smoke. Luckily by then she was close to the river, and following the riverbank she soon found a small group of RainClan survivors, and followed them towards them beam of light that was the beginning of SunClan. She never found out who had helped her, or if they'd survived.
The journey strengthened her, and when she reached her sixth moon she was assigned Ambersong as a mentor.

Wooly rolled her eyes, following behind him. She didn't reply but she did ponder over the thought of company this winter. So, spending the winter with him. I guess that's alright. It'll be someone to talk to, and someone to share the hard times with. To think about it, I guess it wouldn't be too bad. she pondered, stapping on a twig and startling a bird, sending it into the branches.
