The older apprentice stuck his nose in the air and took in the scents of the forest lazily as he set about wandering around with nothing better to do. It wasn't as if he had a mentor to worry about. Nope, just his lonely lonely self. At the moment he was busy following the trail of his dear friend Snowpaw but frowned tremendously when it stopped at the new clan territory. Just like her to go galavanting off on an adventure without him. He had half a mind to follow in after her when his nose caught the scent of another fellow just nearby. With a tilt of his head he popped behind a tree and spotted the source, "Icepaw... what are you doing out here by yourself... just sitting?"

Venomfang shook his still dampened pelt out and set about cleaning his whiskers off from the river water. The sun still hid behind the clouds giving the whole area a warm and morbid feeling though he was used to it by now. The camp was just as busy as ever as cats passed him by without a second glance. He couldn't help but feel a twinge of resentment course through his pelt even this is what he'd wanted in the first place. But was it really? He spat angrily and stalked out of the camp just as fast as he'd entered. Of course it was. Why else would you have worked so hard for this exact situation?
He rolled his eyes and as soon as there was nobody else around him, he felt his muscles relax as if from habit. His fur lay flat again and his breathing slowed along with his heartbeat. Even after all these moons, he still could hardly bear the life of a clan cat. But he had made a promise and his resolution had never changed. He found his paws taking him back to where he'd just left until he was hidden in the bushes and his green eyes scanned a certain she-cat. Of course, this she-cat happened to be next to another notable she-cat but for once he wasn't paying attention to her. It was Silvertail he had his eyes on. She was the only reason that he was staying in this place as he'd promised to protect her for a friend. Protect her from what, he had absolutely no idea since nothing interesting ever happened in this territory. Fawnstep was talking to Silvertail right now and her attention seemed to be focused on something in a tree. What was she up to now?

Silvertail glanced down at Fawnstep's meager collection and she felt an amused purr in her throat when she gazed back up at the she-cat. "I think that's a fine idea, though certainly there are more aren't there? I suspect that a few of the kits may be jealous if they all don't get some." She prodded an egg carefully and lifted her mouth to take in the air until she finally gave up. Hunting and tracking had never quite been her deal. Nothing was really. She was average in all aspects though if it came to a fight, she was slippery as a fish. There was some benefits in that aspect. "You need any help? It doesn't seem I have anything better to do with my time."

Hollowkit sat by the nursery entrance as she watched her 'family' partake in frivolous activities she had no interest in. Her lids hung lazily and she felt the hot breeze dig into her blank skin. It was absolutely abhorrent, this weather. She was just happy that the sun was hidden behind the clouds otherwise it would cause her damage most likely. She was bored yet she had no interest in doing something. Instead she was watching a bird peck away at the fresh kill pile. Did nobody else see it? Cat's were passing by but they did nothing to make it disappear. With an aggrieved mew, she pushed herself to her feet and stalked towards the black mangy crow. If nobody else would get rid of this cancer, she would.
She was about one foot away from it when the crow's head made eye contact with her and it opened it's beak. The noise that came out was unrecognizable but she understood it nonetheless. It was an omen of ill fate and instead of bringing the kit fear, it brought a smile onto her face. Stupid bird, she thought and unsheathed her claws, "Lurch lurch limp, he's limp. The crow pops out the dead cat's lip..." When she finished muttering those lines from her song, Hollowkit watched the bird disappear as if out of thin air and when she approached the fresh kill pile she stared down at what she saw. A dead crow with maggots crawling out of it's stomach. Disgusting... I wonder how it tastes... She then proceeded to lean down to take a bite.
