{he eyed the clearing and his mentor. was this some kind of a trick? or had waterlily never trained a cat in her life? "... of what exactly?" snowpaw made note of the width of the clearing, of the nearby bushes, of the dusty but firm surface, of the quality of treebark... he remembered his old mentor with fondness, though not because hareclaw was much better than waterlily, as snowpaw liked to think, but rather because of familiarity. in this new place, in this new clan snowpaw felt so strange, wrong and unwelcome, like his own skin was wrung inside out. }

i guess i'll summarize what has been happening with my cats, though sorry if i leave something out;
- berrypaw has reunited with her mother, silversun, and they are just now getting to know each other.
- blazefeather attacked/was attacked by wisteria, a rogue that barged into stormclan's camp.
- graypaw is soon to become a warrior, and boulderkit became an apprentice.
- peregine joined the clan, she was a rogue expecting kits and swiftstar couldn't reject her. ]]

berrypaw trotted after her mother, soon catching up and now padding alongside her. a small, happy, purr rose from her chest though it wasn't loud enough for her mother to hear. she briefly pressed her pelt against silversun's as they made their way to the river. the river was bubbling beautifully, it's surface shimmering from the light shining down from the canopy of the above trees. she flicked an ear in confusion as she noticed her mother dipping her paw into the water. "what in starclan are you doing?" she asked, a spark of interest rising inside of her. "trying to catch a fish?" berrypaw teased, the edge of her lips curling in amusement.

deerwing blinked open her eyes as peregine cried out 'frightful'. she groaned in annoyance. "who woke me up like that?" she heard the sound of a falcon and quickly shot up in her nest, gathering together her kits and wrapping them in the sanctuary of her tail. "stay back kits," she hissed, warning them. "there's an unknown rogue and a falcon in the den." she explained, hiding them and hoping the predator couldn't sense her fear as she cried out, "help! help!"

Peregrine looked back and hissed at the unknown cat. "I was accepted into this clan and frightful is my friend. Try to do anything to the bird and my claws will be in your throat." She snarled, unsheathing her claws.

She looked at the cat. "That was kinda rude. I'm not prey, that's for sure." Frightful squawked.

"No. I wil leave fishing to mt clanmates. I just enjoy watchig the ripples the water make." Silversun replied quietly. Dipping her paw in again. "I will always be a queen, amd a medicine cat at heart." She said.

[storm coming.]

deerwing growled, protecting her kits and scowling at peregine. "why is a falcon your friend?! don't you see that they're predators! they're harmful towards the young ones!" she hissed, trying hard to contain her anger. "do you want my kits to be injured?!" she demanded, flattening her ears against her head at the thought and scooting her kits closer to her. "don't worry, i'll protect you." she assured her kits in a hushed tone, licking the top of silverkit's head affectionately and turning back to peregrine with a glare. "well?"

berrypaw nodded and admired the rippling of the water. "what was it like being the medicine cat? i bet it wasn't as fun as being a warrior..." she trailed off, imagining herself as a warrior. she couldn't wait for that day. "no offense, silversun..." she added.
