Coldcry - Tom - Warrior - 30 moons - No Crush

His amber eyes looked around, the forest quite, night coming soon. The stars were beginning to appear in the sky, and a cool breeze went through him. A scent caught his nose,his black and white pelt bristling for a moment. Wolfpaw. What was that young cat doing out here? He narrowed his eyes, looking down before seeing the cat walking past. He snickered. "Late afternoon walk,eh? I'll give it to you, it is quite nice out tonight." He meowed in his raspy voice.

Armadillotumble sent one last, small smile towards Meadowlark, and beckoned Foxpaw to follow him. The medicine cat led the apprentice into his den. He glanced around to make sure no one was around, sat down, and curled his tail around his paws. Armadillotumble then started talking.

"Foxpaw, I need to tell you something very important. Before you deny it, yell, or hate me, I need you to listen to me. This is about your mother, Ivorypetal. So - I was eleven moons old. I saw your mother, Ivorypetal. She was the most dazzling and beautiful she-cat I've ever seen. I knew I was in love. And apparently, your mother was too. Me and Ivorypetal would visit daily, and before I knew it, she was my mate. A moon later she came to me complaining that her stomach hurt. I told her that she was expecting a kit. My kit. I was overjoyed. Sadly, Ivorypetal..died. You know that, though. I would visit you every day in the nursery. It killed me on the inside - I couldn't be there for you, congratulate you when you caught your first mouse, be your proud father when you were made an apprentice. I couldn't be there, and each time I saw you, it felt like millions of claws were digging into my heart. I- Haven't told you..because I was scared of you hating me. Scared of denial. Scared of being kicked out of the clan. Scared of you ignoring me until I died. I'm so so sorry Foxpaw. I wish I had told you earlier. I understand if you hate me, but I am your father."

Wolfpaw's eyes widened in surprise as his attention flickered to the tom. He unsheathed his claws, expecting the cat to be a Sunclan warrior but quickly realized it was Coldcry. "Oh, it's you." The tom mewed. "I guess so.." He replied, looking towards the sky. The canopy of trees above obscured parts of the sky but the warm colors of the sunset spread across the forest floor. "I just wanted some time to think.."

Guys, someone go show Littlefur some love she's alone by the border. Emberclan doesn't have a 'two cat buddy system' so you can still leave camp at night}}

Meadowlark grumbled at the tom's remark and lumbered off into the camp, plunking her fish down onto the pile. Her leg continued to throb as she walked.
Could use a bit of Willow bark as well, perhaps Tansy. She pondered what to ask Mintpaw for, and was pleasantly surprised when the apprentice wandered into camp. She made her way towards the young cat. "Mintpaw, could I ask a favor?" She rasped, stopping to shake yet more sand from her coat.

Redstar swiveled her ears at Pipitpaw's voice. He seemed annoyed, and her tail drooped a bit.
I'm quite the disappointing mentor, aren't I. She thought, shaking her head.
"Of course, Pipitpaw." She murmured, then perked up as an idea struck her. "Perhaps we should have a competition for the apprentices, and their mentors!" She meowed loudly. "For training purposes, of course," The leader purred, suddenly in a better mood. They could set up an entire course for each team to work their way through, and it'd make for good preparation for their assessments.

Ravenclaw's tired eyes widened as he was explained the dream, and the prophecy. "A lake cat came to you?" He gasped, starting into a wobbly pace. "That can't be good, can it? That must mean it's serious," he pondered for a moment. "Beware the cats who seem to sleep." He froze, remembering the past night. Flickergaze and Fogslip had been awake the past night, when they were supposed to be sleeping. Infact, so was Armadillotumble of Emberclan and Littlefur, the Medicine cat. Could they be behind the mysterious scents and Flameheart's death? Perhaps he was over thinking the warning.

Tigerclaw

Tigerclaw followed the medicine cat, sneezing several times as they passed under the low hanging branches of the adder trees.It was a good thing she hadn't chosen the path of herbs and healing.
"Which one is, er, chamomile?" She asked, sniffling and trying to get a look at the plants through her one eye. "How much could we possibly gather before dark?"

Tallstorm and Cricketsong
Warrior | 31 Moons | Sunclan | Voice: Kovu | Brown Tabby tom | Tags; Lichenfoot, Cricketsong

Tallstorm returned from his hunt back to the Warrior's den before sundown, taking his time to socialize with the others before everyone retired to their nest. He stopped to wait for Cricketsong, who was about to approach Ravenclaw before Shorestar got to him first. The tom watched as Cricketsong's ears went flat, and he began to back away from the leader and his father. Tallstorm frowned, padding up to him.
"Tired?" he asked, trying to draw him away. Cricketsong's gaze was distant as he responded. Clearly the lack of attention from his father would bother him to no end. "Who isn't, with these new rules and stuff." He muttered, pushing past Tallstorm and heading for the den. The tabby Warrior only followed him, sitting down in his nest not far from Lichenfoot as Cricketsong turned circles in his own before curling up.
Tallstorm had begun to close his eyes when something poked at his memory.
"Who's turn was it to guard the camp tonight..." He sat up, calling across the dimly lit den.

(Since it's technically night, do you want to pause the assessment until everyone else is on the next day? I'll still RP him in the dark forest tonight but we can continue this when it's morning of you'd like? If not we can have his assessment at night somehow)
Rainpaw's ears went flat. Tinypaw? He was so clumsy! How was he to hunt properly with him, he didn't even have Dark Forest training. The white tom forced a smile.
"Alright," he told his mentor.

Mintpaw trotted into camp and slipped inside the medicine cats den, she carefully dropped her bundle of yarrow on the ground and nudged it towards where the few older leaves where. She wrinkled her nose and hooked up one of the leaves that looked rotten and placed it near the entrence to remove from camp later.
I'd better go through all of these and get rid of the rotten or wilting ones she thought as she glanced around the den. She flicked her attention to outside the den and poked her head outside to see Meadowlark "Of course! What can I do for you?" she meowed with a shy smile.

The she-cat smiled. "My joints are sore, I was wondering if I could help myself to your Tansy, and Willow bark, if you have it." She meowed, looking at the rotten leaves and wrinkling her nose. "Looks like you could use a replenished stock. I can help you, tomorrow if you'd like." The old Skyclan cat longed for a pastime that involved something she was truly good at.

Krestlenose overheard Redstar's idea. With contest the clan's mood would brighten up, especially after the death of Flameheart. The contest would also be a great oppurtunity for the clan's few apprentices to show off their skills to their fellow clanmates.

Flickergaze didn't catch on to Rainpaw's unwillingness to work with Tinypaw. "We'll head out in a little while, until then get some rest." She mewed, flicking her tail as she padded towards the warriors den.
