The War of Dawn & Dark~Wings Of Fire~Accepting

Happiness filled Sunny's eyes. She tried to smile.

Poison balanced the tiny egg on the tip of her barb and held her tail as high as she could. "You think you can beat me?" she asked, throwing the egg off the tip of her barb and moving her barb slightly so it'd land right back where it was before.

Sunny looked scared and sad again when Poison put the egg on her barb.

Starflight gasped when he realized what the egg had to do with Sunny. He flared his wings, tiny dots of light scattering across Poison's sandy colored scales. "You. Give. Back. Our. Egg." He wasn't going to attack if possible, in fear of damaging the egg.

Sunny closed her eyes, and you could tell she was crying.

Poison held the egg in her talons, and held her barb near it. "Don't threaten me." she said with an evil smile.

Starflight didn't know what to do. He couldn't let Poison have the egg, but she couldn't let her destroy it. He went over to Sunny, holding her with one wing.

Sunny looked up at Starflight with sad eyes.

Poison smiled. "I knew you couldn't fight me." she said.

Starflight snarled, refraining from attacking, tense by doing so. "Don't test me, SandWing," he growled, much more threatening than he actually felt. It was all an act, as of now. "I'm a NightWing, and they accept Sunny. You won't like them when they actually fight full force. With their powers they could destroy your entire kingdom in a few minutes, if they wanted."

Poison lowered her barb, so it was even closer to the egg.

Sunny tried to speak, but she couldn't. It sounded like she was trying to say "Get the egg!"

Starflight looked at Sunny, trying to show her that if he attacked Poison would kill the egg. He held her, trying to comfort her, and himself.

Sunny frowned.

Poison made a tiny crack in the egg with her barb. "Oops!" she said sarcastically.

Starflight's eyes narrowed. "Poison. If you promise not to harm the egg -or hatchling- we'll leave you in peace." It was hard, and he choked on his words, but it had to be done.
