Castiel sniffed the air. He could smell the clan cats a good way off. 'It's best I move on before I'm caught', thought Castiel to himself. His sensitive ears pricked as he heard a mouse. He got down low and stalked toward it, pouncing and killing it in a swift blow. He quickly ate it before the smell of blood and himself could be carried toward the clan cats.

Castiel looked the way he had smelled the cats and followed the scent. When he was near he climbed a tree and looked down on the silently. 'Clan cats, never caught alone', Castiel thought to himself. 'Unlike myself, that is'. Castiel was always alone, hunting and braving the wild without anyone to talk with. Not that he talked all that much, or cared.

Castiel jumped back, his claws coming out in case they attacked. 'I know that clan cats are protective of their territory, it was stupid to try this', Castiel though. 'I hope she didn't see me, though I can fight them off if I must.' he was slowly backing up on the branch, much like he did if his prey saw him. 'If she did, I will make her think I am leaving'.
