Sunpetal looks over at Moonwing worriedly. "Are you okay?" she asks, standing up on her paws in case she needed to get help. Her paws knead into the forest floor as she watches uncertainly.

I take a deep breath, despretly trying to shake off the thoughts. But the memories of the bloodied kit flashed through my mind. But what was worse was what I'd done, not him... "I- I'm fine."

"Okay then," Sunpetal says, not entirely confinsed but relieved that Moonwing was fine. "What do you think the next Gathering will be like?"

The memory continued to flow, pounding on me like an elephants foot. I winced as the pain from the flash backs seered through my heart. I pinned my ears back as the memories of that great white beast showed. The moon white pelt stained thikly with blood.... I shook the thought off, trying not to think about it. Focus on something else... I thought, heart racing. "I don't know..." I answered Sunpetal honestly, although my mind was somewhere else.

Sunpetal narrows her eyes slightly, thoughtful. "Well, it'll certainly be...interesting. Wait here," She adds, and pads off. A few minutes later she returns with some thyme stems and places them in front of Moonwing. "Here," the she-cat says gently. "They might stop whatever's going on."

I smile sincerly at the cat. I sigh in relief at the sight of the stems. "Oh..." I begin, crouching down to the stems of Thyme, "Thank you," I lick the stems, and at first they're horiid! But, I continue chewing them anyway. As I finish, I look up to Sunpetal. With soft eyes, I mew to her, "It's just these memories," I begin, feeling my heart beat sloow down a bit. The thyme begins to work,, and I fell my mind softening to the thoughts of forest. "There was just this time in my life..." I trail off, my head down. I didn't really want to tell my story...

Sunpetal searches for something to say, anxious to change the subject. "Were you born into your Clan or were you one of the original members of it?" she asks, genuinely curious.

I nod, sighing in relief at the change of subject. Thank Starclan... I prayed silently. Givinng a moment to think, I smiled at the she cat and mewed, "Yes," I began with a soft voice, "Born into it,"

Sunpetal nods. "Yeah, me too." She kneads the ground with her paws, unsure of what to say next. "So..." she says. "Are there any kits that you're hoping will become your apprentice?"

I shrug to her. Did any kits want to be my apprentice? "I don't know..." I answer honestly. Suddenly feeling stupid, I add in, "I don't really ask!" The words come with a soft chuckle.
