she looked down at her paws. "oh please, you wouldn't understand." she meowed, her voice cold and unwelcoming. "and you should learn how to stay out of other cats business, yet you don't see me telling you that." she snapped. "and you should learn some respect while you're at it. you don't know what it's like for your birth to have broken the medicine cat code. you don't know what it's like to live in fear that others are discriminating against you just because of your - oh forget it." she gave an exasperated sigh.

[Vylad]

"I do fear ,y clanmates. Even our leader does not like me that much. I ran away re,ember?" Her loner side coming up with a ferocious snarl. Maplepaw's fur was fluffed up.

[storm coming.]

"okay..." she trailed off, looking at the puffed up she-cat. "calm down. i'm not trying to cause any conflict." she assured gently. "it turns out that we have more in common then i realized..." she pointed out. maybe, just maybe, maplepaw could become her friend? berrypaw always longed to have a friend. she'd never have one. maybe maplepaw was the friend she never had. she was getting her hopes up, she realized, and sighed.

Lilypaw
Feeling exhausted she kicked up even harder eventualy striding next to the racing tom. Greypaw's long legs were like trees making him faster than Lilypaw.

the tom was tall and lanky, so he once again had an advantage. it would be a miracle if lilypaw won this race. a disadvantage he had was his long pelt because it sometimes dragged him drown, like when he was swimming. but in this case it didn't bother him and the wind flew threw his fur as he arrived at the meadow, skidding to a halt. "i won!" he meowed, turning around on his paws and watching lilypaw run. he smiled in triumph, raising his chin proudly.

[Vylad]

Maplepaw's fur flattened. "I guess we do..." She admitted.

[storm coming.]

berrypaw sighed. "now that i think about it, i kind of feel bad for giving my mother such a hard time in the past. think of all the times we could have had together, spending time as a happy family... i ruined that. it's all my fault." she cried frantically.

[Vylad]

Maplepaw sighed. "She is ypur only kin left. She lost all her kits. You can always change for her." Maplepaw said quietly.

[storm coming.]

berrypaw lifted her head in realization. "maplepaw, you're right!" she exclaimed, then realized she didn't know how to start. "should i talk to her? what should i do...?" she asked.

"Talk to her. Tell her how you feel." Maplepaw said softly. "If she was a teue Mother. She'd undertsand."
