Pignose yawned as he looked out amongst the forest trees. he had been up since before the sun rose and was watching the slight breeze pass over the leaves. His gold eyes wandered from the top of the tree branches and then down to the forest floor with each fallen leaf that was shaken off the branches that were desperately trying to hold on. Sometimes he felt like that, relatable to leaves. How they do their duty and shield the forest floor from the harsh rays of the sun and when its time to let go, they fall and shield the ground from the harsh snow that will soon to fall. Pignose gave a sigh. It was a quiet afternoon for him. Not much was happening and he didn't have an apprentice that he could mentor at the moment, though he hoped to get someone as spunky as himself to teach them how to pick-up other felines. Oh the other felines, he was a watcher for sure. He loved how they carried themselves and the beauty they displayed. A purr rumbled from pignose throat as he trailed off deep in thought amongst the branches of the trees.

Blackpaw walked steadily among silent paws. She was careful to watch her surroundings, after all she couldn't die just yet, she was going to be a warrior next moon. Her silver eyes watched the area around her, an almost permanent smile played around her jaw as she walked merrily along her way. She had somewhere to be, well, not really but she was going anyway. She wanted to taste the freshness from the river this afternoon and practice her fishing. The pitch black feline was camouflage amongst the shades and the leaves as she walked. She wondered what adventure awaited her today.

Goosemask sat in camp just watching the other clan members. Despite his age he was one of the few that was just pure grump. He looked constantly angry and didn't talk much to other cats. It was as if he was an old senile elder trapped in this small and young body. He almost seemed to be glaring as each cat passed his gaze, but he didn't speak. His fluffy tail wrapped around his white paws and flicked with impatience. He looked around what only seemed to be a dwindling clan of cats. No one knew where the clan cats had disappeared to, not even him and he felt like he was the most observant of them all. He gave a hard sigh out loud "Now if only I the one to disappear." He mumbled out loud to himself. Not wanting to be here but feeling he had no where else to go and no one else to rely on, he stayed put.

Palejaw
Summitclan - Warrior - Male - 35 moons - Apprentice: None
Tags: Tinypaw - Mentions: Mothlight

He knew that look, that look was never good for him. Tinypaw always started talking about feelings when he had that face on. Palejaw hated feelings, they were much to useless to him. The older tom watched out of the corner of his eye as the younger started hissing out a tirade. Oh thank Starclan! He's not going to make me talk about feelings. The brute tilted his head after his kin was done speaking,"Fine, it wasn't much. Not really. And i didn't use the word mousefodder. Not directly at least." His tail tip twitched nervously, don't make me talk about my feelings for this! "I said she was about as useful as a dead fox, that she was the weakest link in the clan, and that she had no spine."

"We may not have gotten snow but we did get sand storms, not fun times as those can come in any season." She mewed with a small bit of amusement. "Honestly, I think I might prefer snow. At least the chances that I have to dig out a new den or try to find a den after a snowstorm are slim." Servalnose looked up at the sky, a sigh heaving from her chest. The chocolate tabby found that she did miss her old home, but as of late, the ache had lessened. A huff left her I'll just have to avoid naming any kits after Scorpionfang, Softheart, Nightpaw, Willowpaw, Snakepaw, Jackalpelt, Dewlight and Rat- She cut her thought of her throat closing off.

Tinypaw
Summitclan - Apprentice - Male - 11 moons - Mentor: Cindercloud
Tags: Palejaw - Mentions: Mothlight

He gave Palejaw a calculating look, then spoke his tone pleading. "In the name of Starclan, please tell me you didn't call her mousefodder to her face." When his cousin refused to say or look at him he groaned and whined,"Palejaw! Great Starclan." He huffed, shooting a glare at the older tom I'm going to have to do damage control later. Glancing over to the she-cat he paused then whispered,"I'm going to find a way to lessen any damage you did to her emotional health. But first, you need to tell me everything you said." Tinypaw shot Palejaw a glare daring his cousin and friend to do anything than what he was told.

{Badgerbloom}
Form--She-cat--Summitclan--Warrior--16 Moons--Single--No Apprentice--Caring--TAGS:Silvertail-Mothlight/Camp
The she-cat smiled at Silvertail and continued to pur. She was thankful for his support, it filled her chest with warmth. She turned to face the ceremony once again before seeing movement out of the corner of her eyes. She turned to spot Palejaw stalking away from Mothlight, leaving the large molly with a sour expression. The cats had been to her right so she had been unable to hear them all this time. Her gaze stayed on Palejaw as Tinypaw bounded over towards his cousin, quickly being embraced in a tail wrap. Badgerbloom smiled to herself, happy that the grumpy warrior at least had someone to care for.
Badgerbloom then looked to Mothlight and a small frown formed on her maw. The she-cat looked distressed. Turning to Silvertail, Badgerbloom excused herself, "Thank you Silvertail, Ill be right back." With that, she stood and made a beeline towards Mothlight, lifting her tail in a greeting gesture as she approached. "Good morning, Mothlight." She purred and smiled, making sure she sat to the left of the cat so she could hear her clearly as they spoke. "Lots of cats are going to be filling the Warrior den now, huh?" She then asked, tilting her head towards the cats receiving their warrior names.

{Cindercloud}
Form--She-cat--Summitclan--Warrior--29 Moons--Single--Apprentice is Tinypaw--Calm--TAGS:Open--mentions:Bearfluff&Stagleap--Camp
The large warrior continued to watch the ceremonies. They had always been a sore subject for her and often she would keep to the back of the camp as they were held. Having her own apprentice had stopped this habit however, she did not want Tinypaw to miss out on the ceremonies so he could learn what to expect when his time came. Her eyes wandered from Hornetpaw towards the already celebrated new warriors. Her eyes landed on Stagleap and then on Bearfluff. Cindercloud's eyes narrowed as they landed on the tailless and heavily scarred tom. Despite their similar size and his grotesque appearance he had become Deputy and received an apprentice before her. It seemed to her that the clan favored the large and bee-brained sort of cats like him and Mothlight, to the large and competent cats like herself. How had he grown in rank and devotion while she had been demoted and shunned? Just because she spoke her mind and was considered rude? She huffed at the thought as she tore her gaze away and stood. Her long fur bristled along her back as she moved towards the camp exit. If Palejaw could hunt on her own, so would she. She had grown tired of the long windless ceremony and needed something to do. Palejaw could watch Tinypaw while she was gone.

{Crabfur}
Form--Tom-cat--Shoreclan--Warrior--30 Moons--Single--No Apprentice--Flustered--TAGS:Creamflower--Mentions:none/Shore
Crab fur felt a flush of heat envelop his body as he was complimented. The skittish tom dropped the crab and averted his eyes, his tail flickering nervously behind him. "T-thank you." He managed to mutter out the words just in time to see her wink at him, which in turn made the heat in his body grow to his ears. His ears rang due to the heat in his face and all he could do was watch as she caught the large fish. He felt his legs weaken a bit as he tried to muster up the courage to compliment her own catch but all that came out was "G-good" before his words trailed off in a bit of embarrassment.

Creamflower hears movement and turns her head to see Crabfur killing a crab, smiling. "Great catch!" she said. "Looks like you are living up to your name!" She gives the tom a wink before turning her head to spot a salmon suddenly leap out of the ocean water. She quickly snatches the fish before it landed back into the water with her claws, biting its neck.

    He smiled at Darkwillow and flicked his tail-tip. The tom was a rather serious senior warrior, but Ripplestar didn't mind. He wanted almost everyone's opinion before he appeared at the gathering. "It's okay, I appreciate some cats remaining in the camp. Although I worry about hunting and patroling, I also worry about protecting the camp," Ripplestar admitted with a sigh. There weren't many other cats in camp, or at least that he could see from here. He hadn't made a head-count in a while, and he guessed that there were about three or four cats left in camp or in dens. At Darkwillow's question, he paused and thought it would be better to tell the truth, so he murmured, "I'll be honest. I'm not ready for this gathering. I'm not ready to look at Rabbitstar and her own small amount of cats, most likely finding no clues as to where they are."

    "Sand storms don't sound fun," he agreed. At the mention of snow again, Tinyseal added, "I like the snow too, but it gets a little too cold. Although, I do like rain better." A wave almost threatened to take him underwater, so he turned himself right-side-up and paddled. Servalnose seems sad again, Tinyseal thought to himself and noticed a strained expression on the senior warrior. He swam over to her and touched noses with her, purring loudly.

Softpaw yelped as she heard another sound, but she calmed once she saw the cause,
though she still felt nervous and lost. "Sagepaw, thank Starclan." She padded towar

She hyperventilated for a bit, then gradually calmed down. "Um, w

Golden eyes blinked rapidly as the Palejaw explained what had happened. A bit of confusion colored his tone as he voiced his question. "What? That's it? Palejaw that's mild for you! Can you tell me why you took it easy on her?" His mind shuddered to a halt when he got his answer, that harsh tone had never really been directed at him before. Used around him but not at him. The young lad shuffled his paws and leaned away from his Cousin. Looking away the grey tom attempted to return his attention to the clan-meeting. His plans were diverted when he felt a rough tongue on the top of the head and heard a soft purr in his ear. A soft smile made its made to his face, this was Palejaw's way of apologizing.

The she-cat startled as the tom touched his nose to her's, and gave a half-hearted smile noting the expression on the other cats face. "Sorry, I just remembered someone." A half-hearted explanation, Servalnose knew this. She glanced back at the shore then softly mewed,"My legs are starting to get a little sore, and I still need to do something a bit more productive for the clan today." The lass was about to start swimming to shore when she paused, did that sound like I dismissed him? Harsh? She shook her head, Servalnose couldn't worry about it now. Her need to do something productive was making her paws ich.

The brute should have expected Tinypaws question, but he didn't and was left shocked and more than a little angry. Angry at himself, angry at Mothlight, angry at Tinypaw but mostly he was angry with his sister. His sister had left the clan a few moons before Tinypaw was born, not long after their brother Hornetclaw had killed by a fox. Unable to redirect his anger the tom gave Tinypaw a harsh look and growled a harsh,"No." Palejaw regretted it in an instant, one of his last piece of family was emotionally flinching away from him. Bitting back a sigh and a groan, the lynx point tom leaned down and began to groom the top of Tinypaws head, a soft purr rumbling in his chest.

With distance, the shame seemed to drain from her pelt; laying it flat. With a small huff of relief, she allowed the stiff smile to drop. With any luck no cat had bore witness to her rather embarrassing exchange. After a moment she brought a large paw up to her face, pretending to groom her ears until the flush of red left them. Mind your own business from now on, bee brain. She sneaked a peak at where Palejaw sat across the clearing, watching in awe as Tinypaw approached him unflinching. Even with a bruised ego the sight was endearing, she couldn't stay mad while watching kin share words. Instead she averted her gaze swiftly, determined to seem preoccupied with watching the naming of new warriors. I'll join a hunting patrol after the meeting, that'll get my day back on track.

The lanky tom let out a small 'hm' of agreement as Ripplestar mentioned the protection of the camp. I'm not quite idle afterall. With the clan spread so thin trying to keep the fresh kill stocked, the camp was an open wound to outside threats. Until the source of the disappearances were discovered, it was likely to remain that way. His gaze seemed to sharpen at his leader's reply, eyes narrowing in understanding. For the past moon all eyes in camp had been watching their leader expectantly, as though he could perform some miracle and pull back their lost clan mates from thin air. To lose clanmates and kin... did he feel the weight of it rested only on him? "Have faith, Ripplestar. This gathering may bring answers yet, it's a chance for both clans to put their heads together." He blinked softly, hoping his sincerity could quell at least some of his Leader's anxieties. "If ever there was a time for StarClan to send a sign, it would be now." He murmured, half to himself.

Duskcloud slipped from the warrior's den, an impish smile still etched into the fine line of her maw. A good prank had been laid, even if all she had to show for it was a spider bite on her leg. You play with spiders, you get bit. She shrugged. At least the sting was little more than a nuisance, easily a price worth paying for a chuckle.

Casting her gaze across camp, the warrior seemed to notice just how bare it was. Very few cats lingered, exchanging brief words before heading out on their daily routines. The word boring came to mind... though she dismissed it with a flick of her tail; she'd gotten used to finding more creative ways of entertaining herself. She crossed camp, drinking in the scents of the the fresh kill pile as she passed. At least her skills wouldn't be needed on a patrol just yet, all the more time to groom the moss from her pelt. Her gaze flicked to Goosemask as she padded by; whiskers twitching in amusement at the glare carved into his face. It was like claw marks on stone. His quiet muttering brought her steps to a swift stop, and smooth as a snake she turned on her heels, winding herself beside him. "But then who'd burn holes in cat's pelts with their glowering?" She mused, as she made herself comfortable. "Surely that's a niche only you could fill, Goosemask." She didn't expect much in the way of a reply, but the thought of getting a pointed glare was amusement enough. Wincing, she lifted her paw at an awkward angle, quickly rasping her tongue over the small bump beneath her fur to quell the stinging. Perhaps she'd use a less... bitey bug in her next prank.

Goosemask just about snarled like a rabid animal being forced near water, but he quickly forced those emotions back after a brief moment, barely noticeable. He did not want to get scolder by the leader again for not playing nice with the other cats, not to mention it was only Duskcloud that approached him and he hardly thought of her childish ways as a threat. Goosemask took in a huge breath, one that showed a visible sign of his chest rising and falling and he gave the fakest smile he could muster. "Buzz off." The smile dropped and he turned his head back towards watching the other cats in camp. It wasn't until his ears flicked to the sound of her wincing that he turned his head back to her and glanced down at her leg. "If I were you, I would chew up some blackberry leaves until it makes a paste, then spit it onto that little ditty there. Not only will it ease the pain but should help with infection at least until you can find Chervil for the inevitable infection you'll get since you know, we live on the beach . He gave a shrug as he ended his probably not needed advice.

Sagepaw sighed in relief when he realized she was neither hurt nor being chased by something dangerous.
As she approached him he offered her some comfort by pressing against her, grooming her shoulder rhythmically
when she started to panic."well, I'm not a summitclan cat, am I? We'll be alright, judging by how stale the border
is a patrol hasn't been here for a while."
the sandy-furred tom flicked her side with his tail, trying to stay
optimistic, "Yes, I can take us both back. I don't feel well enough to hunt anyways, so I'll just take us straight
there."
as he stood he kept his pelt brushing hers, not wanting to risk her becoming even more anxious and
hyperventilating again. He thought about mentioning Goosemask for calming herbs, but bit his tongue and searched
the air for his own scent trail. He soon found itand used it to weave their way back towards camp, though a pang of
disappointment twisted his gut. I didn't see that apprentice today... Is he one of the missing cats? the thought
gnawed at his mind until he became lost in concentration, surprised when the shoreclan camp was in view. His mind
still wandering, he paused and gave Softpaw an apologetic glance, I was going to visit the shore for a little bit.. uhm,
but you can join if you're up for it?"
right now what he needed was the reassuring silence of the ocean to drown
his worries and aches, and the young tomcat hadn't swum in a long time, something else that might help ease his
sore limbs,

Bearfluff silenced his loud purring, however difficult it was, and watched Hornetpaw step up as his name was called with another pang of pride, albeit smaller than when Stagleap got his warrior name. The young cats worked hard for this day, and even though they weren't biologically his, Bearfluff felt a small fatherly tie to each cat, knowing that they were safe and sound under his watchful eye. He would speak to Rabbitstar later, after the gathering, once he had calmed himself down and the excitement of three new warriors faded. He yawned and kneaded the ground, his fatigue returning. He ached for his nest but pushed the feeling down.

A pair of narrowed dark honey eyes flitted around camp and landed on two cats;
the pale warrior and his close nephew. Perhaps it was his own loneliness of missing his family,
but Thistlepaw let out an irritated huff of annoyance. His tail flicked angrily before curling
tightly around his front paws, his gaze traveling instead to a familiar black coat that made
his scruff fluff up. The she-cat's black tail-tip disappeared as she left camp, curiosity and
indignation causing his paws to move as he stood and trotted swiftly after her, his head
low, hoping his mentor wouldn't see him sneaking out. He slowed his steps to a comfortable
walk so Blackpaw wouldn't smell or hear him, relying on his sense of smell to keep him on
the right path. He could practically taste her enthusiasm on the air, and it made his pelt prickle.
'She doesn't have time for fun and skipping ceremonies- what is she thinking!' he rolled his
amber eyes and picked up the pace a little, now determined to catch up with the she-cat and knock
some-much needed sense into her.
