Ice looked down at a kit by the name of Leaf. Such a small thing... And to think that Shadow's death left his kits without a father... Ice felt sorry for Shadow's kits since they will have to live with the fact that someone killed their father. "But who are you really loyal to? Don't you live where the cats of Arcadia are watching? Don't you walk where the cats of Arcadia have walked before? Your loyalty is uncertain at the moment, Little." She saw Little getting even more angry by the minute. Something bad is going to happen soon, I can feel it, the boatswain thought with a hint of worry.

Ice looked down at Leaf, careful not to smack the kit off of her. She was quite surprised that the little kit had the courage to growl at a cat clearly larger than him. She liked how Leaf was trying to protect his mother, but he doesn't know what she had done. The poor kits... she thought. Ice continued to stare at Little. "I don't think it was your idea to take over the Tribe, was it? Wasn't it Shadow's idea?"
