Seizing the opportunity, Leah darted past the new cat. Not looking back, she raced through the grasses, away from the clan's camp. The tall grass that she's so hated earlier closed behind her, shielding her from view. She changed direction often, darting side to side like a rabbit in order to make her path less predictable.

{Well, the plains are pretty barren in the winter, which is part if the reason the clan is so eager to leave to go to the forest. It's not too unlikely that any rogues or loners in the area would choose to go the same way.}

Sunpelt bunched his muscles, but Leah was already gone. He curled his claws into the dirt and let out a deep breathe. Finally, he relaxed. " No point going after her. It would just lead us farther from the rest of them." He meowed to Skypaw. He looked over at Springpaw. " You can come with us to help explain why the rogue that stole our prey got away." He meowed, his voice firm, but calm.
