(( involves the idea of someone finding Swiftsong and bringing her back to the camp. I think that would be a good idea to introduce Heavymist into the clan in an interesting way. After all, a stranger shows up carrying an injured cat, what do you automatically think happened? Plus it would give an insight on his personality; if you think injured Heavymist wouldn't put himself through pain to save another cat... You don't know Heavymist. :3 just throwing it out as a suggestion. I think it would make for an interesting plot bit ))

Heronleap watched her, eyes alight. He matched her pace as they departed camp. The tom flicked his tail as he entered the territory, lifting his head and glancing around the darkening forest. It was rather peaceful out, as it often was. He sniffed the cooling air and trotted on, waving his tail in pleasure.

The she-cat gave a satisfied swish of her tail as they arrived. She slid into the clearing after Snowstar, gazing around the familiar spot. It'd been a day or so since she and Foxpaw had done battle-training, so it was high time to get back on track. She paused nearby, twitching her grey ears. "Alright. Say we start off with a mock battle between the two 'paws?" she asked the leader, fixing her dark ocean gaze upon him. "Or whatever you wish."

Swiftsong padded next to him, her flank brushing against his. This time she didn't mean too- but she liked it. She suddenly stopped in her tracks, scenting a mouse.

Snowstar gestured to her with his tail. "You can decide this time around. You seem to know well." He meowed. "So an apprentice match? Sounds like a lovely idea." He twitched his tail again, this time to the pair of apprentices. "Pit your skills against each other. Show us what you can do. Wasppaw, remember what I have taught you."

Foxpaw dropped into a crouch, grinning, tail lashing in excitement. "Let's do this, Wasppaw! Or are you scared?" She mock taunted, a teasing glint in her eyes.

The white-furred tom enjoyed the feel of her fur brushing his. It was something he wasn't used to, of course. In fact he was almost a stranger to things like this. He'd once as an apprentice liked a she-cat named Mothpaw, but she'd died before she'd even got her warrior name. He'd sort of forgotten about stuff like this as he grew. As Swiftsong paused he jolted out of his thoughts and glanced at her, then scented the air. "Go ahead," he murmured, nodding for her to hunt.

Creeksight nodded, satisfied. She sat down by the edge of the training clearing, where she could easily watch while staying out of the way. "Wonderful." she murmured softly, watching her apprentice. Now, to observe her apprentice. The she-cat pricked her ears and straightened up as the pair began.

The young tom faced her in the clearing. A mock battle sounded great! He'd always enjoyed battle-training over hunting anyhow, and this was a fine way to begin. He glanced towards his mentor with a grin and nodded, then turned back to Foxpaw. "No way I'm scared!" he purred, his tail giving a little flick. After a moment's thought he sprang for the reddish tabby apprentice, aiming for her shoulder, stretching out his paws but holding out his tail for balance.

Foxpaw ducked, but was just a heartbeat too late and Wasppaw's outstretched paws clipped her just enough to bowl her over. She flailed briefly, silently cursing herself for being too slow. Righting herself within a few moments, she spun around to face the other apprentice again, narrowing her eyes. She didn't seem to try an attack though, simply crouched, attempting to reorient herself in the few heartbeats before another strike came her way

Wasppaw felt a flicker of satisfaction when his paws made contact, as brief and narrow as it was. He landed a few steps away, flicking out his tail to keep straight and not fall over. The tom flexed his paws on the ground as he turned about towards Foxpaw. He swished his tail, waiting for a moment, but she didn't charge a counterattack. Well, try again. The young tabby darted towards her again, but this time he ran rather than jumped, and flashed out his paws at her side.

Skypath remained concealed within the verdant canopies of a towering oak tree, her thornlike claws grappling the branch as she peered down into the empty encampment. If only I had someone to speak to, she thought, frowning.
