Silvercloud gritted her teeth as a surge of pain traveled through her body, she pulled back, unable to withstand it. She dipped her head and watched as Rosekit trotted up to her, eyes shimmering. It was the first time she'd seen her daughter's eyes. She whispered, "Oh, Rosekit." She felt tears well in her eyes

Rosekit smiled sadly up at her mother and watched as Songkit padded back into the crowd. She turned back to Silvercloud, "With this life, I give you bravery. Use it well in defense of your clan." She touched noses to her mom and watched her stumble back in pain. "I love you, mommy." She whispered and fell back among the cats
