I looked at all of them, after taking a small nibble of the prey Jemelle had given to me. "Listen, all of you. It was kind of you to think of me, but I just don't want to go back to your filthy, flea biting clan. It was never my destiny Starclan planned for me." I mewed simply, and then bristled again. "So get off my back you mange-pelted, foxhearts.!" I exclaimed, then stalked off into a bush, flopping down on my back, and supressing a distressed sigh.

Fernpaw's tail drooped. "B-but I just wanted to talk to you...That's all.."She said softly"I wasn't asking you to come back..."

I stared after Oakpaw, distressed. I felt like my heart was going to burst. "Oakpaw..." I whispered sadly. I turned on Jemelle. "You!" I yelled. "Who are you!"

I growled at Coalheart, "If I tell you, you won't believe me." I snapped, then I turned tail and ran into a tree, heaving myself slowly up, and diving into a small hollow spot, that was located about twenty fox-lengths from the ground.

Fernpaw's tail drooped. "B-but I just wanted to talk to you...That's all.."She said softly"I wasn't asking you to come back..."

The emotion burst out of me. "I will believe you!" I sobbed. "Because... because I know you're important to me, somehow!"

I growled at Fernpaw, Bristling further. "I said get off my back, you flea-biting mangepelt." I growled angrily and unsheathed my paws threatiningly.

I emerged out of the hollow, eyes narrowed. "I-I'm.." I nearly chocked on my words. "I'm your father, Coalkit.." I breathed, closing my eyes, and pressing my chin against my chest.
